The Hoopes Newsletter said that Rebecca Jane Hoopes Dodson was born May 11, 1846 in Golden Point, Adams County, Ill and died Jan 4, 1911 in Leroy, Logan County, Colorado and was buried in Bryant. Her son Joseph was in Phillips County Colorado in 1910 - and on the same census page was the Tyner household who homesteaded in section 31, 6N 47W - only a couple miles from Thomas' claim, but in Phillips County. Newton Morrison, section 22, 6N 47W was also on the same census page.
Thomas proved up 347 acres in 31, 6N 48W in 1914.
In 1920 Thomas 68 and Sarah C. 58 are in Independence, Missouri -This said he was born in Kentucky, parents U.S. - so it wasn't a reliable listing.
In 1930 Thomas is back in Logan County, widowed, living with daughter Rebecca J., who's married to Richard A. Curtis, and kids Edna 14, Leona 12, Mary Jane 11, and Richard E. 9.

Eleanor A. White, 92, of Longmont, died March 17, 2008 at Longmont United
Hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1915 in Haxtun, Colo. to Alva Edwin and Effie
Fay (Dodson) Morrison. Eleanor was the oldest of five children. She was preceded
in death by her parents and her husband in 1990; three brothers, Wilbur, Newton
and Eugene Morrison; a sister Louise Ashley, a brother-in-law and a nephew,
Clifford Morrison.
March 2, 2006 Alma Louise Morrison was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Hillrose to
Alva Edwin and Effie Fay (Dodson) Morrison, the fourth of five children. She
attended Akron High School and married Dale Roy Ashley Nov. 7, 1940, in
Sterling. They farmed northeast of Akron for 34 years and in 1974 moved into
Akron. She and Dale Ashley are buried in Akron.
