November 1911 Fort Wayne, Indiana - "Martin V. Drollinger, aged 74 years, 6 months and 27 days, died this morning at the family residence at 1 Second Street. Death was due to liver complaint. The deceased was born March 25, 1837, in Preble county, Ohio and when a small child moved to Wabash county with his parents, who settled on a farm on which wolves and other wild animals abounded. There were also a good many Indians in the vicinity at the time. When he had grown to manhood he helped to clear the farm and remained there until 1879, when he sold it and moved to Columbia City. He resided in Columbia City for fi... years and nine years ago moved to Fort Wayne. He is survived by a widow and the following children: Mrs. Rose Miller, of Miami county, Ind.; Aaron Drollinger, of Brynt, Col.; William Drollinger, of Wabash; Mrs. M.S. Bolerjack and Henry (sic - should be Harry) Drollinger of Ridgeville, and Mrs. Grace Quick and Clyde Drollinger, of this city. Three children preceded him in death."
