Berkeley Daily Gazette - May 30, 1932 "Mrs. J.R. Richman of this city, received news of the death of her sister, Mrs. Millie Wagner Carle, in Stockton last week.  Funeral services for Mrs. Carle were held on Tuesday.  She is survived by her husband, Karl Carle, and by three sisters."

Millie W. Carle - 1881-1932 is buried in Stockton Rural Cemetery.

In 1940 Stockton, Karl is 57,  living alone, a gardener at a private home.

Karl Jacob Carle registered in Stockton for WWII, saying he was born Feb 27, 1883 at Kilchberg, Germany, was living at 1835 Carmel in Stockton, working for Mrs. Munford.  Pauline Carle was at the same address.

He died Oct 29, 1977 in Santa Clara County.

In 1940 Morgan County Mary is 72, with Henry 31 and Ernest Damon, sons working as farm laborers.

Nettie S.  is married to Alpheus W. Dix, farming in 1930 Kit Carson County, both 31, married at 26 years old.

In 1940 they're back in Linn County,  Iowa, with Willard L. 8 and Donna L. 7, both born in Colorado.
Nettie died Sep 23, 1999  Nettie was born Feb. 7, 1899, in Sterling, Colo., the daughter of Henry and Mary Drier Damm. She attended school in Sterling, then got her teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Nettie taught a number of years in Colorado. On Aug. 12, 1925, she married Alpha Dix in Sterling. The couple moved to Seibert, Colo., then to rural Coggon, in 1937. Alpha passed away in 1976. Nettie continued to live in their home until 1994, when she moved to Donna's home.
