Edward Rauscher was born January 27, 1884, and in 1910 was living in Rockland precinct with Minnie J. 22 and Reon three months.
Minnie was born to John and Anna Helena (Berg) Johnson, and they were in North Sterling precinct in 1900 - John a janitor, with five kids, and in Greeley in 1906 and 1908. Minnie is a teacher in 1908, and John is a sugar factory worker.

In 1922 he was elected president of the Western Slope branch of the Colorado Education Association.
Edward registered with a Haxtun address, and in 1920 is in Rockland precinct with Minnie, 31, Reon 9, Mona 5, Dale 4, and Laeta 2.
In 1930 he's in Sterling, working at a grain elevator, with Reon 20, Mona 16, Dale 14, and Glen 9.
He married Ella Damrow Sharp June 7, 1942 in Sidney, Nebraska.

Mr. Rauscher farmed in Sherman County until 1997 and he had been a meat cutter for Safeway. He also served in the Navy with the First Beach Battalion as a radio operator during World War II. He was born April 10, 1921, in Haxtun, Colo., to Edward M. and Minnie Johnson Rauscher. Mr. Rauscher was treasurer of Washington Township in Sherman County. He served on the school board for Edson Unified School District, was a member of the Rural Fire Board and he was a volunteer for the Rural Fire Department. He had the official Goodland Weather Station Precipitation Gauge for the Edson area for years. He married Elaine Vohs on Oct. 12, 1947, near Edson. She died on May 10, 2000. Survivors include a son, William "Bill" A. Rauscher, Beaverton, Ore.; three daughters, Susan "Sue" Alexander, Strong City, Mary Lea McGinley, Salina, and Mildred "Millie" Kitchen, Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Graveside services with military honors conducted by a Fort Riley honor guard will be at Elmdale Cemetery. Mr. Rauscher will lie in state at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
