Melrose | - | Wendell Melrose | Dell Frances Melrose was married to Carson Tinnin and they lived in Durango for many years.. they ran the Continental Bus Depot during the fifties and sixties. Both have passed away years ago.. also a brother to Dell, Guy Elmore Melrose, lived with them . He passed away in 1995. The oldest brother of Dell and Guy was Hugh Hudson Melrose. He was born in Mancos, Colorado in 1907 and died during the D day invasion of Normandy on 12 June 1944. Hugh was my father. He is buried in Hilltop cemetery at Pagosa Springs as is his father, Joseph, and his brother , Guy Melrose. Ella died in 1925.. another sister, Lola Kinzer Godfrey died in March 1905. Rebecca , Hezekiah and Lola are buried in Greenmount cemetery. Ella is buried at Allison, Colorado. |
