I am trying to determine the truth of a family legend. Charles Ramsey is said to have come to Colorado found a gold mine he called The Little Johnny and was then killed for his claim in 1880. There is a Charles Ramsey listed in Summit Co. There was also a Little Johnny mine in Leadville which was leased by at least two different men and the later renamed the mine the The Dog King or King Dog mine after striking it "rich". Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Pat Kain |
