ALLEN, REYNOLDS I am looking for my ggrandparents Linda Melissa Allen and William Reynolds. Linda was born in Boulder September 30, 1874 and had a brother George. They were married in Salida July 26, 1892. Linda and William had Lila (b. 1893), Minnie (b. 1895), Ethel (b.1897), Nellie (b. 1899), Linda (b.1901), Bill (William?) (b. 1904), Margaret (b. 1906), and Bertha (b. 1909) in Salida. They had Mabel (b. 1911), Daisy Virginia (b. 1913) and my grandmother Myrtle (b. 12AUG1916) in Steamboat Springs.

Looking for any information on any BOOCO living in Lake Co., There were two families in the Lake Co., area in 1880 census. I.S. Booco was a grocer in both Leadville, and Twin Lakes. William Booco was also listed on the 1880 census.

Looking for information on JOSEPH H. WELLS, resident of California Gulch, Granite, and Leadville area from 1860 until 1882. He was the County Clerk for three terms, had interests in mines in the area. He married MOLLIE E. ROACH on 4 March 1877. They later moved to Villa Grove to their ranch. Any information would be welcomed.

I am looking for information regarding my gg-grandparents, John/Jack and Catherine/Kate BURNS. They had several children, Bertha Mae who married Ed BLACK, Robert Clifford who married Nettie COFFMAN, Fanny who married a ROBINSON, Ella who married Joseph METHERD, Catherine/Kitty, Willie, Minnie who went by the last name DU BOS, and Gertrude. They lived in LEADVILLE, GILLMAN and REDCLIFF. Kate (the mother) died two weeks after giving birth to Gertrude on Dec.2, 1889. The children were then divided up and given to various families. My g-grandfather Robert BURNS went to live with the John LOVE family.

I am looking for LEE, Howard S. who was living in Leadville in 1880. His parents were David K. and Anna S. Lee and were living in Golden, Jefferson Cty at the time Howard was in Leadville. I have reason to believe there were other LEE family members in Leadville around that time, perhaps his great-grandfather Henry M. Lee and grandmother Hester K. Lee. My name is Roy McIlwee and I live in Scranton, Pennsylvania.My ancesters came from Scotland to settle in the Leadville area circa 1877. James A. McIlwee became a fairly well known tunnel builder in much of Colorado. I was wondering if you have ever come across any info on the McIlwee family.They were a very large family who mined in the Crested Butte area along with Lake and Teller County.There are four McIlwees listed in the book 12,000 miners. Henry Laffer ran a ferry across the Blue River, freighted, ran a saw mill, prospected for gold,and ran a shoe store. He financed the shoe store by selling his gold mine in Leadville.

I am trying to locate any descendants of William, James, Samuel or Thomas SHIMMIN who emigrated to US in about 1890 with their father William SHIMMIN. They were miners from the Isle of Man British Isles. We know they were in Ishpeming MI initially, but were later known to be in Leadville and perhaps Boulder later.
