In 1910 Kit Carson County, Amber is 25, born in Kansas, farming. She's next to Guy Pearirs 25 born in Iowa, and his widowed mother Rebecca 70, born in Ohio. Also on the page is Emerson C. Peairs 42 born in Ohio, married to Vonnie 40 bonr in Iowa. Homer 19, Jessie V. 18, Maude E. 14,
Lee E. 12, and Chester F. 9 were born in Iowa, Irene A. 1 in Colorado.
Amber was one of four teachers in Vona district # 47 in 1911.
"One of the largest and finest sod school
houses in the county is located about seven
miles south west of Vona. The ample wall space
is almost covered with booklets, drawings,
silhouettes, and mottoes, all made by the
pupils. A bright idea is the hanging a wire
post-card holder on the wall, and filling it
with drawings made on paper cut to
post-card size. In this way, the drawings
can be taken down whenever they have
served their purpose and fresh ones
put up without marring the wall with
tacks. Miss Amber Palmer and her pupils
are to be congratulated upon the quality
of the work exhibited.
Although the day of the
superintendent's visit was cold and
stormy, about thirty pupils were
present."

Amber is divorced in 1930 Spokane, 45, with Rex 15, Philip H. 11, and Amber G. 7 born in Washington.
Amber is divorced in 1940 Helena Montana, 55, born in Missouri.
Amber Ethel Peaires, born January 31, 1885 in Kansas, died May 18, 1981 in Alameda County, California.
Guy H. Peairs, born Dec 15, 1880, mother Bullock,
died January 2, 1966 in San Mateo County, California.
Rex is a truck driver in 1940 Helena, with Barbara B., both 25,
Rex P. 4, and Starr S. 2.
1941 " Charges against James R. Clarke, 219 Spencer street, of harboring a dangerous and ill-tempered dog were dismissed yesterday by Police Judge Paul Keller. A two-day suspended sentence was placed on Rex Peairs, who was the complaining witness, on a charge of discharging a firearm within the city limits. "

"Funeral services will be conduted at 2 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon in the Opp and Conrad Cihapel by the Rev. C. E. Whillier
for Mrs. Barbara Peairs, 29, who died last Wednesday at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Bristol Bentley,
529 Third street.
Burial will be in Forestvale cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Louis Rushford, Feuton Willman,
Jim Gillespie, Bill Eden, Art Donovan and Frank Penland.
Mrs. Peairs was a native of Helena and spent most of her
life here. At the time of her death she was a resident of
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was here on business when she became
ill. Surviving besides her parents, are her husband,
Rex Peairs, and three children, Toby, eight years old;
Starr, six, and Gaye Leone Peairs, three and a half, all of
Coeur d'Alene; a sister-in-law,
Mrs. J. Bristol Bentley, Jr., of Helena,
and a sister, Mrs. Sidney Hoy of Savannah, Ga.
A brother, Private Bentley came here from Fort Douglas, Utah,
where he is stationed. Mrs. Hoy was unable to come
to Helena because of the congested traffic. Mrs. Peairs
had been affiliated with the American Federation of
Labor for a long time, and was a field agent for
the organization in this territory when she died."
Their child Starr Sidney Peairs 1933-1954 is buried in San Mateo County # 87655634.

Charles W. Palmer claimed a quarter in section 9, 10S 42W in 1891.
EDWIN
Edwin N. Palmer claimed a quarter in section 4, 10S 48W in 1912.
