"Died Friday afternoon, Aug. 21, 1908, at the family residence, in Riverton, James Howett, aged 80 years. Deceased was born in Lancaster, Pa., July 28, 1828, and came to this vicinity in 1871.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, James of Spaulding and Charles of Riverton; five daughters, Mrs. Albert Myers, Mrs. Isaac Williamson of Riverton, Mrs. O. Orendorff of Cairo, Neb.; Mrs. James Rengler of Red Cloud, Ark, and Mrs. William Wilkinson of Burlington, Colo.; and one sister, Mrs. S. Wingo of California.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at the Riverton M. E. church. The interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Montana, where he has accepted a position as superintendent
of a ranch operating several gas tractors.

November 1912 "Mrs. William Wilkinson returned from her eastern trip Sunday morning.
She was accompanied by a brother of Mr. Wilkinson of Riverton, Illinois."
