Golden, Colorado "The First Presbyterian church in Golden was the scene of a pretty summer wedding, Saturday evening, June 19, 1954 which united in marriage Miss Betty Lee Harrold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Harrold, and Mr. Stanley Allison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allison, all of Golden.
Chaplain Elliot Porter performed the double ring rites at 7 o'clock in the presence of about a hundred guests. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a gown of white satin, lace and net, fashioned with long sleeves, tight bodice and bouffant skirt. The fingertip veil fell from a coronet of lace and pearls. She carried a white orchid on a white Bible, showered with stephanotis. Mrs. Betty Wood of Canon City, Colo., cousin of the bride, attended her as matron of honor, and Mrs. Dale Titsworth was her bridesmaid. They both wore blue lace over taffeta in ballerina length, with full skirts. They also wore blue lace head bands trimmed with flowers, and carried bouquets of pink carnations, arranged with lace and pink ribbon. Miss Betty Nance and Mrs. Dell Rice were the candlelighters. Mr. Carroll White of Idaho Springs, was the bridegroom's best man, and the ushers were Messrs. Duane Whitford of Golden and Tully Nelson of Fort Collins. Mr. Gordon Deßroder of Lakewood, sang, Because and The Lord's Prayer. He was accompanied by Mrs. Elizabeth Klemm, organist.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Harrold wore a blue lace dress with white accessories, and Mrs. Allison wore a navy blue street dress with white accessories. Both wore orchid corsages.
Immediately following the reception held in the social room of the church, the couple left on a honeymoon trip to California. They will reside in a cottage at the Golden Waffle Inn. Those assisting the hosts at the reception were Mesdames Dick Valore, Cecil Smith, Leo Hendricks, Lon Titsworth, and Avery Dailey."

" Friday evening, August 30, 1957m Miss Dorothy Mick of Golden, and Mr. Robert Allison of Fairmount, exchanged nuptial vows in a double ring ceremony. The Rev. Charles Griffin, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, Golden, performed the ceremony at 6 o’clock p. m. in the presence of immediate members of the families and close friends of the couple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mick of Golden, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allison of Fairmount. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballerina-length gown of white lace over taffeta, with short sleeves. Her short veil fell from a white tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Gary Meisner of Boulder, sister of the bride, attended her as matron of honor. She wore a pink nylon dress in ballerina length, with overskirt of pink net, and small pink turban. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Mr. Stanley Allison of Littleton, brother of the bridegroom, was his best man. Following the ceremony, a reception for about one hundred guests, was held in the Mick home, after which the couple left on a short wedding trip to Grand Lake. They returned home Monday and will reside at 740 Spruce St., Boulder. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Mick wore a pink linen ( sheath dress and Mrs. Allison wore a blue faille afternoon dress. Both wore corsages of red roses.
The bride has made her home in Golden most of her life, and has attended the Golden schools. She plans to complete her high school education this year in a C. U. correspondence course. Mr. Allison has made his home here most of his life, and was graduated from Golden High school in 1952. He served in the Army for two years, and is now a senior at the University of Colorado in Boulder."

1918 Lebanon, Kansas "Mr. Leslie Miner and Miss Ruby Cook were united in marriage at the parsonage at six o'clock Sunday evening, July 7, 1918. The ceremony was witnessed by Misses Marjorie and Virginia Miner and Miss Lois Cook. The bride is a popular young lady, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Cook, and came from Lebanon, Kansas, about two years ago. She has made many friends at this place during her short stay. The groom is too well-acquainted to need any comments. He has lived in this vicinity for the past ten years and is well known and highly esteemed by all, He is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs?. F. H. Miner."

"Mrs. Frank Miner, 84, of Flagler, Colo., mother of Mrs. Sam Allison of Route 1, Golden, passed away at the Good Samaritan hospital in Denver on Thursday, December 9, 1954. She had been ill for the past three years and during that time had been a patient at the hospital. Had Mrs. Miner lived until May 25, 1955, the Miners would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. The Miners came to Colorado in 1906 and homesteaded in the Flagler area.
In addition to her husband, and daughter, Mrs. Allison, deceased is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Fred Blackford of Rocky Ford, Colo., and five grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Allison and their son, Robert Allison, who came home on furlough from Fort Riley, Kans., attended the funeral services which were held for the late Mrs. Miner on Saturday in Flagler."
