September 1913 Fort Collins, Colorado " Mr. Win McQuat, of Flagler, Colorado,
visited John Bryant at the Tau Alpha House last Friday and Saturday. Mr. McQuat
had a valuable horse at the Veterinary Hospital for an operation.>
" The Miner family moved into Flagler from the homestead after proving up
on the homestead. Also want to say, we only lived in the "dugout" a short time.
My father built a large sod house just north of the dugout where the McQuat
(brother and sister) lived. They all filed on land, and also Tom Wright's wife Esther."
Albert claimed two quarters in section 22, 9 South, 51W in 1913, the same day as Ellen's claiming one quarter,
also in section 22.
Albert Winfred McQuat registered for WWI in Flagler, with Ellen as his reference. He was
gorn January 22, 1881.

Their sister Frances in May 1923 Gunnison, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Palmer
and son, Harold, uncle and aunt of Miss Frances McQuat, who are en route
from California to their home in Minneapolis, will remain here for a month.
They have taken a cottage in Highland Village."
Frances was teaching at Western State in Gunnison, Colorado in 1940.
