November 4, 1920 Blue Mound, Kansas "John McDonald was born February 14, 1829, in Frazerburg, Ohio, and died at Blue Mound, Kansas, October 27, 1920, at the advanced age of 91 years. In 1849 he was married to Mary Burch to which union were born ten children, four of whom survive, Mrs. Callie Craig of Kansas City, Mo., Robert of Minneapolis, Minn., John of Longmont, Colo., and William of Shawnee, Okla. In 1890 he was married to H Dllie Frazier to which union were born two children, Mrs. Hallie Caldwell of Wichita, Kans., and Blaine of Pittsburg, Kansas. Mr. McDonald had been a farmer all of his life except the last few years when he retired. At 17 years of age he joined the Christian church where he held his membership until his death. For thirty-six years he has lived in Linn county.
The funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. Hull and the remains were placed to rest in the old Blue Mound cemetery Friday of last week."

November 1897 Kincaid, Kansas "William F. Dennis was born in Indiana, near Terra Haute, on the 7th day of December, 1S57, and died Nov. 4th 1897, aged 39 years, 10 months and 27 days. When quite young he moved to Missouri where he lived until 1852 when he came to Kansas. In 1880 he was married to Miss Callie McDonald, of Blue Mound, and came to Kincaid in 1894. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church last Friday at 2::30, Rev. George W. Trout delivering the sermon. A large concourse of sympathising friends were in attendance. After the services at the church the remains were taken in charge by the secret orders in attendance and conducted to the city cemetery where the last sad rites were performed and then consigned to the mother earth."

McDonald, 74, who died May 3D at a local hospital, will be conducted June 1 at 10:30 a. m. at Greenlttwn Chapel with the Reverend N A. Christensen officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. McDonald had been a resident of Bukersfield for 10 years. He is survived by two sons. W. B. McDonald of Oildale and Myron A. McDonald, with the United States Army overseas: a brother, J. E. McDonald of Longmont. Colo., and a grandson, Gerald McDonald of Oildale. "
