Lydia claimed a quarter in section 18, 9 South, 51W in 1912.
In 1913 J.C. Malchow of Arriba, Colorado was a
stockholder in the Claydon bank, value $300.
F. F. Malchow of Wilder, Minnesota $500, and Fred Malchow, Lakefield, Minnsota $4,700.
June 1912 Burlington, Colorado "C. A. Malchow, formerly of Leota, Kansas,
has brought his automobile here and will conduct an aulomoble livery.
The family is now occupying the Thos. Seamen residence."
July 1912 Montrose, Colorado " After a delightful visit as the house guest of
Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Christianson, Miss Lydia Malchow, of Arriba, departed Saturday for her home."
In 1912 Steamboat Springs celebrated its Strawberry Festival with a number
of newspaper visitors, among which was Miss Lydia Malchow of the Arriba Record.
February 1913 "J. C. Malchow left the latter part of last week for Brush,
where he has charge of a new implement house opened at that place. Carter has had a number of
years experience in this line, which, with his natural ability amounting to a genius,
well qualifies him for the position which he is to fill. Brush will find in him not only a man
with rare business ability, possessing a pleasing personality and accommodating manner,
but also a citizen of whom they can well be proud - always sober and industrious,
honorable in business, clean in habits and ever ready to do his part in the upbuilding
of the town. We predict success will he his reward in this as in his other undertakings.

September 1913 Brush " J. A. Smith, editor of the Arriba Record, accompanied by his wife
was in town Monday visiting his sister Mrs. Malchow. While in town he made this office a pleasant call. "
In 1920 San Francisco, Lydia is 40, single, a bookkeeper for an auto
supply business, boarding with Samuel and Mabel Bruce.
June 1923 Brush, Colorado "Miss Lydia Malchow of San Francisco, Calif., stopped over Sunday
with her brother, J. C. Malchow, and family, leaving Monday evening
for Minnesota to visit her father, sisters and brothers. She expects to stop at Brush the first df August on her return to California."
December 1923 Brush, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Malchow are
expecting the arrival of a sister, Miss Blanche Malchow, from White Hall, New York,
to spend the Christmas holidays with them. From here she will go to San Francisco to stay indefinitely with a sister, Miss Lydia Malchow."
In 1930 San Francisco, Lydia Rogers is living alone, married but no spouse, a cashier for an insurance company.

"Wilma Edna Agnes was the youngest of five girls. She was born to Charles and Martha Malchow on December 21, 1922 in Flagler, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred C. Carstens, and by her sisters: Amanda, Mabel, Pearl , and Helen. She is survived by daughters Carolyn (Virgil) Bening, Judy (Steve) Delve; grandchildren Brenda (Steve) Matasovsky, Jarrod (Denyse) Bening, Amy (Cory) Wedel and Jeni Foltz; and great-grandchildren Braden, Sarah, Alexys, Camory and Jayson.
