August 24, 1903 Davenport, Iowa " At her home, 1323 West Seventh street, on Saturday evening at 9 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Emma Timmermann. (nee Kloppenburg), aged 32 years. Deceased was well known and popular in Davenport, having been born and reared here. She is survived by her husband, William Timmermann, her mother, Mrs. M. Kloppenburg, one sister, Anna Kloppenburg, and two brothers, Louis and Max Kloppenburg. The funeral will be held from her late residence on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment at Fairmoiint cemetery."

" Louis Kloppenburg, 817 West Fifteenth street, well-known Davenport printer of the firm of Reid, Mohr & Kloppenburg, died suddenly at 4:30 p. m. Thursday at his place of business, 322 Harrison street, following a heart attack. He had been in poor health for about a year. Mr. Kloppenburg was born on April 27, 1869, in Davenport and received his education in the schools here. He engaged in the printing business most of his life, having been a member of the firm here for the past 29 years. On Nov. 2, 1899, he was married to Miss Elvina Haase, in Davenport. Mr Kloppenburg was a member of Trinity lodge, A. F. & A. M., No. 208, the Mohassan Grotto, the Zerepath consistory, the Modern Woodmen of America and the First Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his widow; three sons, Victor of Boston, Mass., Ralph of Milwaukee, Wis., and George at home; one brother, Max Kloppenburg of Davenport, and three grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Runge mortuary and will be returned to the late home, 817 West Fifteenth street, at 5 p. m., today, where it will remain until 9 a. m., Sunday, when it will again be taken to the Runge chapel. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p. m., Sunday, with burial in City cemetery."
