February 1904 Oskaloosa, Iowa "Mrs. Floy Kerns returned to her home in Wright yesterday after a visit at the parental Thomas Stephenson home."

In 1910 Archer County, Texas, George E. Kerns is 41, Floy M. Kerns 36 Wife, Vega J. Kerns 8 Daughter, Vida E. Kerns 7 Daughter, Velma E. A. Kerns 4 Daughter, and Ruth W. Kerns 2 Daughter.

They are in Pottawattamie County, Oklahoma in 1920, with three younger daughter all born in Texas.

January 5, 1912 Castle Rock, Colorado "The announcement of the wedding of Miss Florence Adams to Mr. Sidney McAllister Karns came as a surprise to her many friends here. The wedding was solemnised at St. Pauls Rectory in Littleton, Rev. McLaughlin officiating, on Wednesday morning, December 27. Mrs. Riverton, sister of the bride, accompanied the young couple. The many friends here wish for them a long and prosperous married life."

November 1913 Castle Rock, Colorado "Mrs. Florence Kerns and her young daughter left for Denver, Thursday, where they will make their home in the future. Mr. Kerns has a position with the C. & S. as train dispatcher at that place. Mrs. Ethel Riverton accompanied her sister to Denver."

May 6, 1980 "Graveside services for Reda Florence Olsen, 87, of Denver were Friday at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Castle Rock. The Rev. Donald K. White officiated and Andrews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Olsen died April 30 at Bella Vita Nursing Home where she had lived since 1976.
She was born March 4, 1893, at Rock Ridge, Colo., and was reared and educated in Castle Rock. In 1910 she married Sidney Karns, who preceded her in death. Their children, Wilma McCutcheon and Fred A. Karns, are both deceased. In 1933 she was married to Jack Olsen who preceded her in death in 1954. Survivors incude a sister, Mrs. Minnie Seeley of Belle Fourche, S.D.; a brother, Frank A. Adams of Denver; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mary Louise Karns of Denver; a son-in-law, Kenneth McCutcheon of Richmond, Calif.; three step-childrenn, Jack Olsen and Mrs. Alice Carrier, both of Denver, and Mrs. Mabel Miller of Billings, Mont.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."

October 1, Douglas County folks were given a genuine surprise upon the announcement of the marriage of another of our girls last week. On Friday, Sept. 24, Mrs. Ethel Riverton of Castle Rock and Harry L. Williams, of Denver, were married at the home of Rev. Rader, the ceremony being performed by Mr. Rader. The newlyweds cam immediately back to Castle Rock, and are for the present staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam. Goodding. They have not announced as yet their plans for the future. Many friends here will be glad to extend congratulations."

On Christmas Day, 1922, L.E. Moore, Southern Pacific Trainmaster's Clerk at Ogden, Utah was married to Miss Floy Kerns. The ceremony took place at the Newhouse Hotel, Salt Lake City.

1937 Emporia, Kansas " Thomas J. Moore, DuBois, Neb,, a retired carpenter, died this morning at 8:35 o'clock in the Newman Memorial County hospital. The body will be taken to DuBols, where funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in DuBois cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born April 17, 1861, in Louisa county, Iowa. He moved to Abilene when he was about 15 years old and later went to DuBols. Mr. Moore had been visiting relatives in Emporla for a short time.
Mr. Moore married Emma Obert on March 6, 1890, in Pawnee City, Neb. He was a member of the United Brethren church. Mr. Moore is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Moore; seven daughters, Mrs. George Kelley, of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Riley Proctor, of Thurmari, Iowa; Mrs. Roy Bellows, of Pawnee City, Neb.; Mrs. Clifford Harlow and Mrs. j. Fankhauser, both of DuBols, Neb., and Mrs. D. 8. Farrlngton and Miss Gene Moore, both of Emporla; a son, L. E. Moore, of Los Angeles, Calif., and a brother, Clyde Albaugh, of DuBois, Nebraska."
