January 1917 "Mrs. Hannah J. Casady of Norwalk, Ia., widow of Weir Casady, died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Dyer of Dexter. Mrs. Casady was one of the pioneers in Warren county and was an aunt of Simon Casady, local banker."

1902 Sioux City "The annual meeting of the Young Women's Christian associatlon, held at the association rooms last evening, marked the close of a very prosperous year for this worthy Institution, which has succeeded in Sioux City beyond the hopes of its promoters. September 1911 "A brief visit was pade to each department of the Stratton Schools last week. Mrs. Ida M. Casady, the principal, is introducing some new ideas into the high school work, and the pupils say they like them."

In 1912 Ida, with a Flagler address, was on the ballot for State School Superintendent for the Bull Moose, Roosevelt, and Progressive parties.
