"Alvirus C. Ranney, former Flaglerite, met his death when a Colorado and Southern train bearing a plow struck his car in Denver.
Mr. Ranney was born in Clevelan, Ohio in 1862 and came to Colorado in 1912, where he stellet near Flagler to homestead a ranch. He moved to Denver shortly after the death of his wife in Flagler and has been living there for the past five years.
Mr. Ranny owned several pieces of property at Flagler, including the old Ranney homestean on wher the Misses Allison and the Weir brothers now reside.
He is survived by three brothers, Delbert D., a jeweler, Frank L., both of Jackson, Michigan and Arthur of Council Bluffs, Iowa, a son, Charles H. of Jackson and two granddaughters, Mrs. Lorene Pierce and Miss Lucille Ranney, both of Jackson.
