1907 Goodland, Kansas "Clyde Brown and Walter Mountz arrived home from Goodland, Kansas, Wednesday, having resigned their positions there with several other clerks. Each of them has filed on some government land in Colorado and they will return this fall to look after it. Mr. Brown will go from here to New York City on a pleasure trip."

February 1908 Goodland " Clyde Brown returned Tuesday from a visit to his homestead in Flagler, Colo. "
"Rex Scott spent Sunday near Flagler, Colo., with Clyde Brown on his homestead. Rex says that Walter Mountz, formerly of the master mechanic's office here, is busy with his chicken ranch there and is thought to be contemplating adding to his holdings by matrimony with a fair claim holder, whose land joins."

1908 Goodland, Kansas, " Clyde Brown is here for a short visit with friends."

1908 Goodland " Clyde Brown returned from hie claim near Flagler, Colorado, last week. He will prove on the place October 7 and return to his home in Ohio for a visit with his mother, after which he will probably return here."
