born in Iowa, a cowherder, possibly for the Robert Miskelly foreman. He's on the same census page as Jas. R. Miskelly, who also claimed land in 9S 50W.
In 1889 William F. Mathias is a laborer for the U.P. Railway, living at 2121 Market.
William claimed a quarter in section 3, 9S 50W in 1890.
In 1891, there's a William F. Mathias at 2945 Larimer Street, Denver, a bartender for W. F. Weir.
William F. Mathias and Maggie Berry married on 25 May 1892
in Denver.
William F. and Margaret Mathias divorced 27 Apr 1898 in Denver.
