In 1880 Montgomery County, Illinois,
Jacob C. and Mary J. both 55 are farming.
Hannah M. is 30, Addie M. is a teacher, 23, Frank P. 20, and Della M. is 15.
Mary J. Aten cash-claimed a quarter in section 22, 9S 42W in 1891.
Mary is buried in Montgomery County 1825-1896 # 32590255.
Mrs. Mary Jane Aten, daughter of John and Mary Squier, and wife of Jacob C Aten, was born April 20th, 1825 in Butler Co. Ohio, where she lived until the time of her marriage, Nov. 10th, 1847.
Of eleven children Mrs. Aten is the only one surviving. Her parents lived to see their then other children all buried.
Mrs. Aten made a profession of religion and united with the Presbyterian Church in Franklin Ind. at the same time with her husband, about the 27th year of her age. About eight years after connecting with this church, Mr. and Mrs. Aten removed their membership to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, the two churches being about equally distant from them. Upon their removal to Montgomery Co. Ill. they connected themselves with the Presbyterian Church of Butler.
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Aten are all living, and are as follows:

Della M. Aten cash-claimed a quarter in section 22, 9S 42W in 1891.
Charles Plummer cash-claimed a quarter in Yuma County, Colorado in section 28, 4S 42W in 1891, next to Charles C. Dietz and Harry Swander and Eleazor M. Snodgrass.
In 1900 Jefferson County, Nebraska, Della,
born July 1864 in Indiana, is married 12 years to Charles Plummer Feb 1862 in Illinois, farming.
Lennie Sept 1889, Maud June 1890, and Essie May 1893 were born in Colorado, Addie May 1895, Cora Aug 1897, and Birdella Sept 1899 in Nebraska.
They're in Morris County, Kansas in 1910, farming.
Charles is 48, Della M. 46, Lennie 20, Maud 18, Essie 16,
Addie 14, Ora 12, Birdie 10, Charles 6, Vera 5, and Lewis 2, the last six born in Nebraska.
In 1920 Charles and Della are farming in Powell, Wyoming, with Dora 22, Charles 16, Vera 15, and Lewis 11.
Della Martha (Aten) Plummer 1864-1936 is buried in Missoula, Montana # 84566589, with Charles Fremont Plummer 1862-1925>
Leonard Jack Plummer 1889-1963 is buried in Missoula, with Nellie May (Brown) Plummer 1892-1967l
Maude Mae (Plummer) Wilder, born in Burlington
June 5, 1891, died 1975 in Powell, Wyoming, buried there with Thomas A. Wilder 1881-1960.
Essie M. (Plummer) Newkirk, born May 5, 1893 in Colorado, dying March 17, 1973, is buried in Woodland, California, with Clyde F. Newkirk 1889-1947.
Cora Adoline (Plummer) Townsend 1894-1973 is buried in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with Oscar F. Townsend 1888-1986.
Ora Loretta (Plummer) Clark 1897-1988 is buried in Ravalli County, Montana # 70177570, with Verne Everett Clark 1896-1966.
Birdella Fay Plummer and John Murphy married in 1916 in Park, Wyoming.
They're in Wyoming in 1920, 1930, and 1940, and Birdella, born Sept 3, 1899, died in Washington County, Oregon on Feb 4, 1985.
She's buried in Wshington County, Oregon # 161494710, with John M. Murphy 1893-1969 # 161494666.
Charles R. Plummer, 1903-1986 is buried in Missoula, with Olive 1908-1990.

and is now busy working at the 'Billwilliamsville' mine."
1897 Castle Rock, Colorado "Frank Aten of Billville
started for California last Friday."
Frank Aten, 44, married Doleretta Waddington on August 11, 1901 in Greeley, Colorado.
"Last Thursday the Rev. Father Casey united in marriage
Miss Doleretta Waddington and Frank Aten, both now of Greeley.
The ceremony was performed at the Colorado House, the home of
the bride's aunt, Mrs. E. A. Rogerson. She
came here from Missouri several months ago and has since
made her home with her aunt. The couple left after the
ceremony for a short wedding tour and will then make their
home in Greeley."
1904 Idalia, Colorado " Mr. Frank Aten of Wray was in
town the latter part of last week on his way to Burlington."
1905 Wray "Mrs. Aten and daughter of Burlington,
Colorado are in town visiting Mrs. Aten's son Frank Aten
who runs the city restraurant."
November 1906 Greeley, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. Frank Aten who 1 have been residents of Greeley the last three years started last Monday morning for Klamath Falls, Oregon, to make their home."
December 1906 Wray, Colorado "The little baby of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Aten has been quite sick for the past two
weeks but is now very much better."
In 1910 Glendale, Arapahoe County, Frank is a painter,
50, born in Indiana, with Dora A. 42 born in Missouri.
She's had two kids, one living. Mary B. 3 was born in Oregon.
1911 Aurora, Colorado "Frank Aten is busy painting and decorating the Dillow stores."
In 1920, Frank is a janitor in an apartment house, 60, with Dora 52, mary B. 12, and George 7.
Frank is a painter in 1930 Denver, 70, with Dora 62 and Mary B. 23.
In 1940 Denver, Dora is 72, Mary 32 a stenographer.
Frank is buried in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 1859-1932 # 57961064, with Dora (Waddington) Aten 1869-1948.
