Born at Frohna, Mo., February 16, 1883, she came to Wichita from Canton, Kansas. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church.
Her husband died in 1937. Surviving her are her father, D.F. Blancken, Flagler, Colo.; five sons, Edmond Schmidt, 145 South Chautauqua, Rev. Paul Schmidt, Memphis, Tenn., Rev. Walter Schmidt, Salina, Henry Schmidt, 621 North Edgemont, and Frederick Schmidt, at the home; a daughter, Miss R. Sylvia Schmidt, at home; two brothers, George and Oliver Blancken, both of Flagler; and five sisters, Mrs. Natalie Kuecker, Flagler, Mrs. Mathilda Mell, Farmington, Mo., Mrs. Martha Reinemer, Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. Minnie Hohenstein, Denver, and Mrs. Marie Malchow, Los Angeles.
