1939 Albuquerque "One person remained in a critical condition Sunday in the St. Joseph's Hospital, suffering injuries received in an accident near Los Lunas Saturday which took two lives. Two other persons injured in the accident were reported improving. Ralph Pelle, 24, of 228 West Gold, was still unconscious Sunday evening."

EVELYN

Evelyn Anna Pelle 1905-1967 married Herbert Raymond Martelon, of Arvada, Colorado, in Stratton on June 19, 1928. Witnesses were Raymond and Rosetta Pelle.

" Herbert R. Martelon died 7 Aug 2001 in Rapid City, buried in Bear Butte Cemetery Sturgis, South Dakota, Memorial ID 83053901

He was born to Joseph and Hattie Ulbrich Marelon, the family moved to Arvada CO, where he graduated from High School. He was active in sports and band playing the E-flat alto and B flat Soprano saxophone. He then attended Barns Business College and Denver University where he took business courses.
He went to work for Peter Kiewit Sons Inc in Denver doing hyway construction, and becoming a general superintendent with the company.
In the late 1940's he continued his work with runways and taxiways for the B-36 bombers. He continued with the company in hyway construction and also supervised the installation of an irrigation system for the Padock Ranch near Sheridan WY. The Ranch was owned by Homer Scott, a Perter Keiwit vice president. Herbert especially enjoyed flying in the corporate Lear jet. He worked 35 years for the Kiewitt company retiring in 1974.
He was married to Evelyn A. Pelle and a son Thomas was born to this union. On September8,1950 he married Alwaynne E Waldman at the home of her father Charlie Waldman in Sturgis SD. A daughter was born to this union. Shortly after they were married the couple purchased a home in Rapid City, where he had lived until entering the nursing home a few weeks ago.
Herbert was a hard working and always enjoyed helping family and friends.He loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing in Big Thompson River in Colorado.
He was a member and very active in ST Andrew's Episcopal Church, a life member of Elks Lodge NO 1187 Rapid City SD, the Society of Black Hills Pioneers, Canyon Lake Senior Citizens Center and Minnelusahan Senior Center.
Survivors include a daughter in law, Elke Martelon of Littleton CO; a son in law Dean Lichty or Westbook MN: three grandaughters Joan Dunn and her husband Dennis of Denver CO, Catherine and Monica Martelon, both of Westminster CO.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alwynne in 1995; a daughter Deborah Lichty in 1985: a son Thomas Martelon in 1998 and three brothers and a sister."

BERNARD

In 1938 Benjamin A. Pelle is living at 1718 Franklin in Denver.

April 1935 Idalia, Colorado "Wm. C. Langendoerfer bought a team of horses last Monday at the Binard sale over in Kit Carson county.
Herman Boden also attended the Binard sale and bought a nice two room house which he will move soon."

August 1937 Englewood, Colorado "Mrs. Harry Fritz (Agnes Binard) spent the weekend at the W. J. Binard home here. Helen Binard returned to Pueblo with her Monday and will stay with her all this week."

1937 Englewood, Colorado "Don Binard, of Santa Ana, Calif., Marie Binard of Fullerton, Calif., and Helen Liekhus of Anaheim, Calif., arrived here Saturday evening to spend a week at the W. J. Binard home. Other members of the family who spent Sunday and Monday with them were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Berg and children of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fritz, of Pueblo, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Binard and family of Englewood, and Mrs. Binard's nephew, John Doering and family, of Denver."

" As I am moving to Howard, Kansas, I will sell at public auction at the farm known as the Binard farm on highway No. 51, ll miles north and 1/2 east of Burlington, Colo., 23 miles south of highway No. 36 on 51, the following property on Thursday, April 20,1944. Frank Frieden, owner."

Henrietta A. Gillespie, born August 12, 1909 in Nebraska to Joseph Liekhus and Gertrude Welding, died in Orange County October 30, 1997. Her husband Henry B. Gillespie is buried in Orange County # 199387879. Henrietta is also buried in the Holy Sepulcher cemetery with him, # 119387878.
