They were taken to the home, 503 Tenth Street. The funeral services were held from the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Collins and in charge of the local order of trainmen, burial in East Linwood cemetery. Besides the widow and one small son he leaves his father, three brothers and four sisters to mourn his untimely and sad death and to whom is extended the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of sorrowing friends. The details of the accident which resulted in his death are very meager, but it appears that while switching in the yards at the Union Pacific transfer he was hanging to the side of a car and in passing another string of cars was caught in a space too narrow to allow him to pass through and so badly crushed that he died in a short time from the injuries."
