Ethel Laird was born October 16, 1882 in Iowa to George Allicson Laird and Elizabeth Cooper.

In 1900 Guthrie County, Iowa, George A. Laird is an insurance agent, born February 1853 in Pennsylvania, married 28 years to Elizabeth March 1855 New York. She's had four kids, three living. Stella August 1877 and Ethel FOct 1883, both in Iowa.

April 1907 Nashua, Iowa " Mayor Laird hands us this week an obituary notice of his brother, James Laird,.who died ac Rat'ndrum, Idaho, April 4,1907, which limited space will not allow us to publish in full. James Laird was born May 5, 1831, at Huntingdon, Canada. He was married to Margaret A. Bigger, Dec. 9, 1852, and in October, 1853, he moved to Iowa. In 187S, he moved to South Dakota and was one of the earliest settlers there, where he continued to live until he moved to Rathdrum in 1901. The deceased was the eldest of ten children born to James and Ann Laird. A widow, four children, one brother, two sisters, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren survive him. The children are Elizabeth A. Skinner (died July 12,18S6.) George A. Laird; Anna D. Cagley; William B. Laird; Lillian I. Sage. The brothers and sisters are Mr«. Janet Parks and Hugh B. Laird, of Nashua, Iowa; Mrs. Agues Biggar, of Bay View, Wis. "

In 1925 Polk COunty, Iowa, George 78 and Elizabeth 80 are living with daughter Myrtle Prebble 51 and her husband John W. 57.

George Allison Laird, born Feb 16, 1847, son of Jas A. Laird and Mary Anderson, died December 10, 1928 in Polk County,m Iowa, an engineeer with the C R. & P
The informant was Mrs. W. W> Maple of 805 18th St, Des Moines.
Estella Laird, daughter of George A. Laird and Elizabeth Cooper, married William W. Maple on April 21, 1912 in Clear Lake, Iowa.

January 19, 1931 Des Moines, Iowa " Mrs. George Allison Lairdm 7l, resident of Valley Junction for 20 years, died Sunday at the home of her daughter. Mrs. J W. Preble, 4S Fifth St., Valley Junction.
Mrs. Laird is survived by two other daughters. They are Mrs. W. W. Maple of Valley Junction and Mrs. C. O. Armentrout of Clear Lake.
Funeral services will he held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Prebe home. Interment will be in Glen dale cemetery. "

Frank Thompson is 29, born in Ohio, and he's with them in 1920 and 1930 Denver as well.

George applied for naturalization in Denver, born Sept 19, 1859 in Carnonstre, Scotland, emigrating from Glasgow on the Anchova, wife Winnie born at FalaSaven Wales, both living at 3103 Fife Countt.
He said he arrived in New York on September 24, 1882.
