John Davoren, 8 South 51 West
James Davoren and Maria Sweeney married in Indiana on November 26, 1851.
In 1870 Floyd County, Indiana, Mary "Davern" is 38, William a laborer 16, John 14, and Thomas 12. John Sweeney 64 is a laborer, born in Ireland.
In 1885 Denver, William T. Davoren is proprietor of the Denver Brass Wroks.
John claimed a quarter in section 23, 8S 51W in 1891.
1909 Denver "John Davoren, who represents the twelfth ward in the lower house of the city council, was born in 1859, and has lived in Denver for well over two decades. Since 1876 he has been in the foundry business, and is at the present time manager of the Denver Brass Works Company on Lawrence near Fourteenth street. He was appointed to his present position in the city council to fill a vacancy caused by resignation, and has been active in pushing forward some of the big improvements completed and under way in his section of the city. Alderman Davoren is on several important committees. Politically he is a Democrat."
1909 Grand County, Colorado "John Davoren,
one of Denver's popular aldermen, was a west bound passenger last
Wednesday enroute to Yampa, where he will spend a few days in that
vicinity hunting. Some of Mr. Davoren's party passed through here
the first of the week with a team. They came by way of Berthoud
pass and will join the other boys at Yampa."
In 1910 Denver, John is 52, managing a brass works, with Sister Margaret 47, both born in Indianal.{

My inventlon relates to a new composition of matter to be used principally in the manufacture of machine parts and its object is to provide a metallic substance in which softness is combined with tenacity.
My composition consists in its preferred form of the following ingredients combined in the proportions stated viz 4 Lead 50 pounds. Copper 50 pounds, Arsenic pound. Phosphorus 1 ounce. "
John is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery 1856-1914 # 125216063.
His mother Maria Davoren 1832-1898 is also there # 125216226.
William is in Denver in 1920, widowed, 65, with John 27 and Marie 22. His sister Margaret 67 is with them.
Katherine M. Davoren and Howard P. C. Tweed married in Denver on April 18, 1906.
Katherine is William T.'s daughter.
