DIED:-In this city, at her residence, Friday morning August 9th, 1889, at 3 a.m., Mary Davidson.
The deceased was born in Perry county, Ohio December 31, 1835. Was married to J. M. Davidson Oct. 21st, 1855 at Vermont, Ill. From there they moved to Pawnee, Neb. in 1870, and in the spring of '71 to Republic county, Kansas where she resided up to the time of her death.
All was done that loving hands could do and when death seemed certain she was ready to go if only she could see all her children again. They were at once telegraphed that to see their mother again they must come at once. Levi arrived Thursday, John Friday morning. After he (John) arrived, her only wish seemed to be that she might see her baby boy Robert, who resides at Bingham Canyon, Utah, but when she realized that it would be impossible to see him, at 3 o'clock her spirit passed peacefully to the God who gave it.
Her funeral took place at the Baptist Church August 10 at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. W. H. Willoughby. Loved and respected by all she was followed to her last resting place in Farmington Cemetery by one of the largest funeral processions ever formed at this place.
Mrs. Davidson leaves a husband, one daughter and three sons to mourn the the loss of an ever kind and loving wife and mother who was an example worthy of (?????) and to the bereaved family we extend our sympathy
