ALBERT'S FAMILY

1860 Marion County, Indiana, Wm. Cotton is25 Sarah J. Cotton 18, and Franklin C. Cotton 1.


In 1870 Jefferson County, Kansas, Wm. Catton is 35, Jane Catton 28, Franklin Catton 11, and Rufas Catton 8.

Irma Bulotte was in Shawnee County in 1870, eight months old, with Elma 54, Fanny 27, Mary 9, Gu Gutuff 5, and Lidia 3.
In 1880 Shawnee County, Etienne Bullotte is 65, Juline 37, Mary 18, Gustaff 14, Lidda 12, IRIENA 10, Albert 8, and Reanult 6.
"Bollotte Etieune (Bullette Ettina), a Civil War veteran, fought for the 8th regiment Kansas Infantry, Company E. He mustered on September 16, 1861, as a private, he mustered out July 16, 1864, as a private. He then transferred to the veteran corps July 16, 1864. Bollotte had fought in the Battle of Chickamauga and he was held a prisoner for 12 days. He was wounded in his right leg and right hand. He received a pension for 8 dollars a month.
Etieune was born in France in 1815. He married his wife Zumla. They both moved to Indianola, Kansas in 1859. They moved into a home in North Topeka in 1869 and he worked as a farmer on his property. They had two sons named Gus Bollotte and Albert Bollotte and three daughters named Mrs. Mary Elliott, Mrs. Irma Epperson, and Mrs. Regina Majors. Zumla died on August 19, 1927. Bollotte died on November 28, 1891, of old age. He is buried at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas. "

Rufus A. and Irma Cotten proved up a quarter in sections 3 and 10, 10S 50W in 1914.
They are buried in Topeka, Kansas, Rufus 1861-1910 # 66522935, and Irma "Cotton" Epperson 1869-1956 # 66957670.
"Mrs. Erma Cotton Epperson, 87, Route 3, North Topeka, died Friday at a local hospital. She was born September 1, 1869 on the farm where she lived all her life until the past 7 years when she made her home with a niece, Mrs. Florence Israel, 1834 N. Kansas Avenue.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Harve Majors, Topeka and several nieces and nephews. "

(Charles Burton Cotten was born Feb 1, 1874 in Grantville, Kansas to William Cotten and Sarah J. Curtis.

In 1900 Powiesheik County, Iowa, A. Blodgett is 58, Ophelia 53, Clara M. 32, Etta 25, Ernest 23, and Grace C. 17.

1905 Hugo, Colorado "Sam Kaufman from north of Flagler was in this vicinity the latter part of last week."

Ernest's sister Martha E. Blodgett, 32, married Samuel W. Kaufman on January 1, 1907.
"The parents of Sam Kaufman gave himself and bride a grand supper on his arrival from Colorado Springs. The threshing gang were there and quite a number of others were invited. They have gone to housekeeping on his homestead."



(Etta is in Lincoln County, Colorado in 1910, 34, married to Samuel W. Kaufman 31, with Mary O. 2nand newborn Alvin J. .

Alvin Blodgett died in Colorado Springs, buried in Linn County 1841-1920 # 67007417, with Ophelia dying in 1934.

EDNA AND ERNEST

Edna L. Cotton and Ernest A. Blodgett married in Kit Carson County on June 11, 1907.


They're in Weld County in 1910, Ernest A. 33 and Edna L. 27.

In 1930 Ramah, Colorado, Ernest is 53, daughter Margarie 18.

Feb 10, 1905 "Mrs. Cort Blackburn died last Monday morning. She had only been sick for a few days. She leaves a husband to mourn her death..

1907 Montrose " Cortez Blackburn and Lewis Hunt left Thursday for Topeka Kansas, where Mr. Blackburn will visit his stepdaughter, Miss Esther Luker. They will visit relatives in Missouri before returning.
