1913 Willmar, Minnesota " Arthur Bruss, foreman at the Person cigar factory, has returned to Willmar, after a several weeks' visit in the twin cities and the northern part of the state.:

May 5, 1915 "A wedding of interest to Willmar people occurred last Wednesday evening, at the German Lutheran church, at Bertha, Minn., when Miss Bertha Smith, of that place, bcame the bride of Arthur Bruss, formerly of this city. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mundinger in the presence of a large number of guests. The bride was attired in white shadow lace over white silk crepe de chine, and wore a veil in cap effect. She carried a bouquet of brides roses. Miss Clara Bruss, a sister of the groom was maid of honor, and she was attired in pale green crepe de chine, and carried pink roses. Miss Emma Haase, a cousin of the bride was bridesmaid, and she wore a gown of blue silk mull and carried pink roses. Lewis Smith, a brother of the bride, and Walter Bruss, a brother of the groom, were the groom's attendants. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Rev. Mundinger, and there was special music by the choir. Following the ceremony a four course wedding dinner was served at the bride's home. The decorations were plum blossoms, red and white streamers and white bells. The wedding cake was decorated lilies of the valley and hearts. The guests from a distance who were present were: Mrs. F. W. Bruss, mother of the groom, Miss Clara and Walter Bruss of Mankato Mrs. E. Person and son Glenn, Willmar Mrs. John Doesken and daughter, Mildred of Raymond Mr. and Mrs. Fred Had erbert of Minneapolis Mr. Marz of St. Paul Lewie and Otto Smith of Paynesville and Miss Lydia Abraham of Paynesville. Mr. and Mrs. Bruss will make their home at Roseau, Minn. The Tribune joins with the many friends of the groom, in this city, in wishing him, and the lady of his choice, much happiness and prosperity. "

June 9, 1944 Moorhead, Minnesota "Miss Paula Bruss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Bruss, Bertha, became the bride of Rupert Bauck, son'of Mr. and Mrs. Louis j Bauck, Perham, in a doiible ring ceremony performed recently by Reverend R. E. Lehman in St. John's church in Bertha. Miss Thelma Lehman, Eagle Bend, played the wedding march from Lohengren, and Mrs. George Bauck sang, "Oh, Promise Me," and "Oh, Perfect Love." Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an embossed chiffon gown, with a train and a finger-tipped veil. A locket, a gift of the groom was her only jewelry, and she carried a bouquet of calla lilies. Maid of honor was Miss Esther Bruss, sister of the bride, who wore a blue net gown and carried a colonial bouquet. Attending as bridesmaids were Mi's. Charles Turrittin, St. Peter, and Miss Dor- i othy Setterholm, Baudette, who wore yellow and rose net gowns, respectively, and carried colonel bouquets. Flower girl was Marlene Haase. . Attending the groom was Lambert Bauck. Perham, brother of the groom, and Richard Stenberg, St. Paul, and Roy Martin, Perham. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for about 200 friends and relatives. An 8:00 o'clock dinner was served to members of the bridal party and the immediate family. Mrs. Bauck, a graduate of the Roseau high school and the Bem-jidji state teacher's college, has, for ! the past year been the physical i education instructor in the high i school in Detroit Lakes. A gradu-I ate o: the Perham high school and Concordia college, Mr. Bauck is the physical educational instructor and football coach in Detroit Lakes."
