in 1905, 64, born in Germany, farming, 56 years in the
U.S., 35 years in Iowa.
Emma Meves' father, William Pickhardt, was born in Waldick, Germany according to his entry in the 1880 Sheridan Twp., Poweshiek Co., IA
1915 "Suffering from a severe malady, Mrs. MEVES found no relief even at the hands of specialists, and after a brave fight of fifteen weeks, while all that love could do for her was freely done, she fell asleep. Besides the sorrowing husband, two little children, Earl Laverne, aged 8 years, and Bernice Dorothy, 5 years of age, are bereft of their best earthly friend. The aged father, Wm. PICKHARDT, of Grinnell, one brother, Louis, of Malcom, two sisters, Mrs. Ella SCHULTZ and Mrs. May ALTROGGIE, of Poweshiek county also remain to cherish the memory of daughter and sister. The mother of the deceased passed to her reward in May 1908."
William C. Pickhardt 1840-1928 and Ricka C. 1851-1909 are buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Poweshiek County.

April 1910 Wray, Colorado "Word was received last week to the effect that
Miss Grace Stahl was married recently to William Pickard, of Superior,
Neb. The ceremony was performed at Nelson, Neb. Miss Stahl is well
known in this community and her friends wish her well.
The bride and groom will move to southern Missouri,
the former home of Mr. Pickard, in the near future. "

William J. Peckhart was farming in 1910 Auburn, Indiana, born 1868.
He had married Lilly Belle Brady, who was in Warren County, Iowa in 1895, 20, born in Illinois.
"Final rites for the late Lillie B. Peckhart, 76, widow of the late William Peckhart and a former resident of Auburn-Ashley road north of the city, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Gerig funeral home in Auburn.
Mrs. Peckhart, a patient for the past 35 years in the state hospital at Richmond, died Saturday evening. Her death resulted from pneumonia following an illness of two weeks.
The Rev. Allen K. Trout of the St. Mark's Lutheran church in Auburn, officiated at Monday's services with burial in Roselawn cemetery. The body was brought to the funeral home in Auburn Saturday night in the Gerig funeral car.
Mrs. Peckhart was born Feb. 14, 1874 in Virginia, Ill. For many years she and her husband resided on the Auburn-Ashley road four miles north of Auburn. Her husband died about five years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Glenn Peckhart of Selina, O. and Guy Peckhart of Rt. 13, Fort Wayne; one grandson and one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Treesh of Corunna and Mrs. Harry Hines of Chillicothe, O.
Mrs. Peckhart was a member of the Tamarack church north of Auburn. "
