In 1880 Muskingum County, Henry Burckholter is 59, Hannah Burckholter 36, Charles F. Burckholter 15, Edward C. Burckholter 13, Albert E. Burckholter 11, Nellie J. Burckholter 8, Henry Burckholter 7, and Florence Burckholter 5.
"CHARLES BURKHALTER was born in 1839 at Loram, Germany; settled in Doniphan county in 1859; residence, Troy; business, dealer in fresh and cured meats. "

Henry Burckhalter is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas August 9, 1821-Feb 10, 1891>
So is George Burckhalter, July 4, 1831- Nobember 28, 1875.

Oscar Neff and Florence M. Burckhalter married in Denver on Dec 4, 1900.

They're farming in Kit Carson County in 1910, Oscar 43 and FLorence M. 36.

August 1912 "Dr. O. S. Neff, of Flagler, was accompanied to a Denver hospital by Dr. H. L. Williams, Tuesday. Mr. Neff has been suffering with some kind of throat trouble and an operation was found necessary. The many friends of the Doctor hope that a permanent cure may be effected."

Oscar proved up a quarter in section 11, 8S 51W in January 1913, and another in section 11 in September 1913.

In 1920 Oscar is a doctor, 52, Florence 44.

In 1930 Charles 66, and brother Albert A. Burkhalter 61 are both farm laborers, living with sister Florence Neff 56, all born in Ohio, and Florence's husband Oscar S. Neff 62 born in Illinois.

Dr. Oscar Sidney Neff 1867-1941 is buried in Flagler # 22603380.
"One of the two doctors in Flagler during the early 1900's. He was known as a saddlebag doctor because he would come to the sick even in stormy weather on his horse and make your sickness more bearable or ease your dying.

He was also a fine fiddle player and squaredance caller."

Oscar and Florence Neff divorced in Kit Carson County on April 10, 1935.

In 1940 Flagler, Florence M. Neff, 65, Charles Burckhalter 76, Albert BUrckhalter 71, and Nellie D. Knott 69 are living in Flagler precinct.

Florence is also buried in Flagler # 22942037.

So is Neff, Merle (infant) son of O.S. Neff.
