In 1910 Marshall County, Kansas, Gilbert E. King is farming, 29, born in Missouri, just married to Lena 22 born in Indiana. They ahve Nellie M. newborn in Kansas.
Lena's sisters Alma L. Shriner 20 and ALberta F. 6 both born in Indiana are with them.

Nellie Maude Wanklyn, 94, rural Courtland, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at the Mitchell County Hospital. Mary Russell of Abilene is a daughter.
She was born April 10, 1910, in Home, the daughter of Gilbert Elias and Carrie Evalena (Skinner) King. She attended Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia and received a Normal Teaching Certificate. She married Arthur William Wanklyn on Nov. 19, 1934, in Beatrice, Neb. The couple moved from rural Marshall County near Beattie in 1956 to a farm in southern Republican County.
Mrs. Wanklyn was a teacher for the Summerfield, Grimes and Barklow schools.
Other survivors include three sons, Gilbert Wanklyn of LaGrange, Ga., Mark Wanklyn of Lakin and Allan Wanklyn of Jewell; one sister, Dorothy Hardman of Marysville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, on June 16, 1986; one sister, Edith Prigel; and one brother, Nelson King.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at the Ada Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, with Pastor Shelby Bailey officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, in Union Cemetery, Beattie.

Dorothy Evalee Hardman, 89, Marysville, died Monday morning, Nov. 8, 2010, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 11, at the Berean Church, Marysville. The Rev. Gerald Hawk and the Rev. Barry Dunmire officiated.
Ruth Ann Gee was the organist. Kristin Long sang “Before the Throne of God Above.” Jack Hain sang “Blessed Redeemer” and “Saved by Grace.” G.N. Hardman sang “In the Garden.”
Pallbearers were Doug Nincehelser, Aaron Long, Jason Long, Dale Henderson, Mike Gee and Rick Shain.
The honorary pallbearers were Keith Fincham, Wayne Fincham, Nealan Nincehelser and Norm Carpenter.
Burial was in the Home City Cemetery.
Dorothy Evalee Hardman was born Feb. 4, 1921, at Beattie, the daughter of Gilbert and Carrie Skinner Evalena King.
She graduated from Marysville High School in 1939 and later received a teaching education from Kansas State University. She taught in Marshall County District 110.
She married Francis Hardman on May 6, 1945, at North Elm Christian Church.
She wrote a book titled "Grandma's Ramblings" about her early years.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crafts and quilting. She had more than 100 pen pals and enjoyed writing them letters.
Survivors include her son, G.N. Hardman, Osage City; daughters, Misty Long, Blue Rapids, and Loralee Hardman, Lawrence; foster son, Gary Juan Sloggett, Hunter; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
