"Dr. E.F. Woods, 54, of Bolivar(Missouri) died Sunday at 1:15 p.m. Dr. Woods came to Bolivar from Wyoming about nine years ago. Surviving are his widow, Roxie, five daughters, Mrs. Daiso Hedicke of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Luella Olsen of Boise, Ida., Mrs. Sadie Merrill of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Lavina Royce of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Alice Coskey of Scranton, Pa.; three sons, Edward, Roy and George Woods of Cheyenne, Wyo., and two brothers, Benson and George Woods, sister, Mrs. Jennie Barr, of Elk Point, S. Dakota. .

Dr. Woods, a doctor of Naturopathy, has had an office in Bolivar since 1930, where he has built up a large practice..

Funeral services were at 10:00 Thursday morning in the Hutcheson-Blue chapel, Bolivar. The body will be sent to Elk Point for burial beside his father and mother. Rev. H. S. Rainwater conducted the service..

She is survived by four granddaughters, Terri Ann (David) Nitz, Lynn Marie Merrill, Nanci Lee Sandifur and Michele Gloria Merrill;
seven great grandchildren, Collin, Jennifer, William, Aaron, Chad, Dustin and Jessica;
brother, Roy Woods; three sisters, Alice C. Burns, Lavina Barton, and Luella Olson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, son, Guy and great granddaughter, Jasemine.
Interment at Merrillville Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana.

Dear Roy, Just got back from 14 wonderful days at home. It was just grand to be home again. I got your card the day I was leaving. I hope you had happy holidays How is every one feeling? How is the weather where you are? It is raining her now. I will be shipping out of here around the 20th of the month. Will keep you posted as to where I will be stationed. It was kind of hard to leave when it came time to go. Mom cryed and my girl cryed. It made it kind of tough to leave. But like I said before it was wonderful. Will write soon. Your Nephew Ronnie

ROY
"Mr. and Mrs. John Buck, 231 Detroit street, announced the engagement of their daughter Easter Marguerite, to Pvt. Roy Benson Woods. Pvt. Woods formerly resided in Calumet City with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Al Merrill, not of Chicago Heights. Since his induction into the army last October he has been in army camps in Wyoming and in Washington and is now stationed in Alaska."
Roy Benson Woods married Easter Marguerite Buck in Hammond Indiana June 15, 1944.
