In 1870 Cass County, Indiana, Solomon Kistler is 44, Mary A. 39, Mary M. 17, Sarah E. 14, John W. 12, and Emma B. 3.

"Solomon Kistler was born Sept. 9, 1825 in Ohio, Mary Ann Binney was born Feb 24 1831 in Ind or Penn.
They married on Oct. 18 1846 in Cass Co., Indiana where they lived until he died. She later moved to Nebraska and is buried there. "


In 1879, John W. Kistler made homestead entry for land in 3N 29W, Nebraska, and in 1884 Moses T. Starbuck claimed abandonment, but J.E. Cochran alleged he had purchased Kistler's interest.

In 1880 Saunders County, Nebraska, Solomon is 56, Maryann 49, John 21, Emma B. 13, and Solomon G. 5.
(Solomon G., per one tree married Sadie Fry in Seibert, in 1894, and they're in Weld County in 1900, with Lawrence 5. Lawrence was born at Flagler, Colorado March 2, 1895. "Bert" Kistler 1875-1952 is buried in Pierce County, Washington # 20561381. Sadie May Kistler, daughter of John and Isabelle Fry, is buired in Boise, Idaho 1877-1936 _
July 24, 1890 Logansport, Indiana "Solomon Kistler is lying dangerously sick at the home of his son-in-law. J. H. Beckley. "

August 6, 1890 Logansport, Indiana
"Solomon Kistler, one of Boone township's oldest and most respected citizens, died yesterday at the residence of his son-in-law J. H. Jeckley. Mr. Kistler went to Nebraska a few years ago and was back on a visit when shortly after he had arrived he became ill and rapidly grew worse. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Bair, of the Baptist church, to-day at 2 o'clock, Interment in the Kline cemetery."

August 22, 1890 Logansport, Indiana "Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Hendee, of Panama, Neb., returned home to-day after an extended visit with relatives in Boone township. Mr. and Mrs. Hendee were called here by the sudden death of the latter's father, Solomon Kistler, and while here met with a sad bereavement - the death of their 8-months-old babe. "

In 1891 Otoe County, Nebraska, Solomon Kistler's estate had heirs Loretta Hurdee (Hendee), Mary M. Conn, Sarah E. Beckley, John W. Kistler, Emma Belle Beckley, and minor - age 15- Solomon Kistler.

"Miss Annie Southard left Saturday for Chicago and St. Louis, where she will spend a two weeks vacation."
1887 Otoe County, Nebraska - Louisa Southard' s estate was filed.

1887 Omaha "John W. Kistler, age 30, married Annie Stothard, 18, on April 3, 1888 in Lancaster County, Nebraska.

In 1892 Seibert, Colorado, Jim and Bess Kistler are students in an elementary school.
In 1900 Kit Carson County, John W. Kistler, born Feb 1858 in Indiana, married twelve years to Annie Dec 1870 Pennsylvania, have James W. Apr 1889 Nebraska, Bessie A. July 1891, Minnie A. Sept 1894, and Edna L. Oct 1898, all three daughters born in Colorado.
In 1900 Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Mary is 69, widowed, living with daughter Sarah Greenawald and her husband William.
Mary A. Kistler died December 23, 1895, and is buried in Lancaster County, Nebraska, # 22312290.
(Daughter Maggie M. Conn 1852-1931 is also buried there)
In 1903 Otoe County, Mary Ann Kistler filed a widow/petition for Homestead.

"Heirs of Mary A. Kistler" proved up a quarter in 32, 8S 49W in 1906.

John timber-claimed a quarter in 7, 8S 48W in 1903, and John W. Kistler proved up a quarter in 12 in 1911.

John T. Kistler 1904-1906 is buried in the Seibert, Colorado cemetery.
In 1910 Kit Carson County John and Anna have James, Bessie, Minnie, Louise, and added Charles, 8.
One tree said Anna died in 1915 - if anyone knows where she and John are buried, pleas let us know.

In 1920 Colorado Springs, John W. Kistler is 64 born in Indiana, a janitor, with Mary M. 62 Indiana.Fairview Cemetery, Colorado Springs, has John W. Kistler 1855-1940 # 33475906, with Mary M. Kistler 1858-1940 # 33475906.
THAT IS A DIFFERENT JOHN W.KISTLER - he and Mary were in Indiana in 1900....
1921 Logansport, Indiana "Friends in the city have received word of the death of Fred Kistler, son of John W. Kistler, Colorado Springs, Colorado, who formerly owned the Elm Tree grocery store, corner of Broadway and Fourteenth street. Mr. Kistler died Sunday night. "

Louise Kistler married Alva Lampshire Aug 31, 1918, recorded in Mesa County.

James William Kistler registered for WWI farming in Mesa County, Colorado, married wtih a child, born April 28, 1889 at Bennett Nebraska.
