1946 " The sudden and unexpected death, of Mrs. M. E. Kinzer, at her home in Wakefield Sunday March 3,after a brief illness of a heart ailment, brought deep sorrow to her husband, her children, and other relatives. Her age was 62 years, 4 months and 4 days. Her life began as Anna Elizabeth Laughlin, and she was born October 30, 1883, at Logan, Kansas. She was the next to the oldest in the family of eleven children of Ulysses and Laura Laughlin and she grew to womanhood in Norton county. The marriage of Anna Laughlin and Milton Everett Kinzer occurred January 31, 1905 at Norton.
In 1908 Mr, and Mrs. Kinzer moved to Seibert Colorado, where they homesteaded, remaining until 1912. At that time they moved to Belleville, where they resided for 23 years. It was there that Mrs. Kinzer professed faith in the Latter Day Saint church.

Funeral services were held Thursday noon, March 7, at 12:30 o'clock, with the R »Vx--aw-4VhUe- officiating, and in the afternoon at the Belleville cemetery, where burial was made, with the Rev. :!" in charge

Mrs. M. E. Kinzer . The Kinzers moved to Clay Center in 1935, and to Wakefield in 1936, where they made their home since. Mrs. Kinzer was an active member of the Rebekah lodge, at Wakefield. ... Wakefield Methodist church.
A large assembly of relatives and friends attended both services,

Mrs. Kinzer leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one son, Everett, of Glendale, Cal., four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Cuddy of| Manhattan, Mrs. Kermit Chick of El Monte, Cal., Mrs. Ralph White of Clay Center, and Mrs. Ed Pierce of Junction City; four sisters, three brothers, twelve grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors. Mrs. Kinzer's life was a symbol of beauty, made so by her continuous love and affection of her family; her pride in her home; her ability to make the flowers "


"The Belleville Telescope, April 30, 1953 Milton Everett Kinzer was born May 18, 1882 at Scandia, Kansas and died March 21, 1953 in California, at the age of 71 years. Death was attributed to a sudden heart attack. Mr. Kinzer had spent most of his life in northern Kansas and on January 31, 1905 was married to Anna Elizabeth Laughlin, also a native Kansan, at Norton. Six children were born to this union, four of whom survive. In 1908 they homesteaded near Seibert, Colo., and moved in 1912 to Belleville, where they resided for 28 years. They moved to Clay Center in 1935, and one year later to Wakefield, where they spent the balance of their lives. An employee of the Union Pacific railroad, Mr. Kinzer retired July 30, 1947, after 25 years service. He was spending the winter in California with two of his children when he died. His wife died March 3, 1946. Two daughters, Vernice, and Mrs. Ed Pierce of Junction City, also preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Everett of Sun Valley, Cal., three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Cuddy of Manhattan, Mrs. Ralph White of Clay Center, and Mrs. Kermit Chick of El Monte, Cal.; four sisters, Mrs. Ima Conarty of Seibert, Colo., Mrs. John Wallace of Greeley, Colo., Mrs. Bert Larkins of Republic, and Mrs. Kenneth Reese of Wichita, many grandchildren and other relatives. 1922 Topeka Kansas: Dear Editor: As I have never written to the Capital I thought I would write a few. lines, as my papa Is a new subscriber. We like the paper very much. I am a little girl 10. My papa is a farmer. We live two miles from town. We moved to the farm this spring. We milk five cows. Last winter I was in the third grade. My teacher's name was Miss j Imler. I go to Sunday school nearly every week. Papa has been taking the Topeka Capital for two years and a half and likes it pretty well. I like to read the news and puzzles, but have not succeeded in solving any yet. We live a mile from our mail box. I go and get the mail. When I get papa's paper I read the letters from the boys and girls.

Marjorie W. Moody, 86, of Greeley, Colorado, died Friday, October 18, 2002, at Fairacres Manor Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2002, at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley, Colorado. Marjorie was born March 2, 1916 in Jewel, Kansas to John and Edna (Kinzer) Wallace. She married Donald A. Moody on August 19, 1934 in Berthoud. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1993. She had been a resident of Fairacres for approximately two years. She came to Colorado with her parents in 1929. The family lived in Johnstown, and she attended schools there. She and her husband lived almost all of their married life on the family farm west of Greeley. She was a homemaker and also helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Greeley and was active in the Women’s Circle #3 at the church. She was also a member of Oasis Rebekah Lodge #13 in Greeley, Woodmen of the World, and Union Colony Pioneer Society. She was a former 4-H leader for the Hazelton 4-H Club. She enjoyed cooking and visiting shut-ins. She is survived by her sons, D. Lawrence Moody and his wife Alice of Greeley, CO and Jack D. Moody and his wife Eve of Westminster, CO; daughter, Nancy J. Morgheim and her husband Jack of Arvada, CO; sisters, Leila Fuller and her husband Neal and Carol Ikenouye and her husband Elmer all of Greeley, CO; and 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, Donald A Moody, infant daughter, Barbara Ann Moody, and son, Ronald Moody preceded her. 1944 Greeley "Private Gerald' B. Wallace left Wednesday after spending a ten day leave in Greeley with his wife and daughter , Patricia and Yvonne, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Wallace. Mrs. Wallace makes her home at 628 Ninth avenue; Private Wallace, stationed with a quarter-master corps unit at Camp Swift,.Tex., has been in the army for the past four months. He was a mechanic at Consumer's Oil company before entering the service."

1958 Greeley "Master Sergeant Neal R. Fuller of Camp Pendleton, Calif., above, and his family spent the holidays here with his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Wallace of 2712 Ninth avenue. They arrived Dec. 14 and left for their home New Year's Day. Sgt. Fuller is,« career man in "the marines. He has served 16 years and will be eligible for re tirementln four years. At that tin: he expects to settle in Greeley. H resided here prior to his .enlis ment in the marines in 1941. H father, the late Jess Fuller, spen his last years here, residing at th Pioneer hotel. He formerly _ live at Burns, Wyo. The Fullers have the followin six children: Richard, 12; Rober 11; Man Lou 10; Linda, 8; David 6: and Nora Ellen, 2."

Eula E. White, 77, of Manhattan, died Wednesday, September 23, 1992, in St. Mary Hospital, Manhattan. She was born on October 29, 1914, at Belleville, the daughter of Milton E. and Anna E. Laughlin Kinzer. She grew up in Belleville where she attended school and graduated from Belleville High School. She was united in marriage to Ralph Henry White, September 12, 1937, at Belleville. He preceded her in death December 6, 1947. She lived in Wakefield, Trenton, Mo., and Hiawatha before moving to Clay Center, where she lived for 17 years. She had been a resident of Manhattan since January 1963. Mrs. White worked as an accountant in the accounting department at Manhattan Christian College from 1963 until her retirement in 1979. She also was the boys' dorm mom at MCC from 1963 until 1971. After her retirement she worked part-time at Flint Hills Bread Basket, Manhattan. She was a member of the Crestview Christian Church, Women's Ministry in Action, Manhattan Christian College Women, ABWA, AARP and the Riley County Seniors' Service Center, all of Manhattan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dr. William White; her parents; one brother, John E. Kinzer; three sisters, Mary Pearl Pierce, Doris Chick and Alma Vernice Kinzer. Survivors include a daughter, Beth Paden of Great Bend; one sister, Laura Cuddy, Atlanta, Ga.; and nine grandchildren. Services were held September 26 at Crestview Christian Church with Rev. William Shea officiating. Burial was in Belleville Cemetery.
