George F. and Sarah (Boone) Emery, 8 South 49 West


One tree said George was born Nov 8, 1841 in Somerset County, Maine, married Sarah E. Belknap in 1865 in Massachusetts, and divorced in 1883, marrying sarah J. Boone Nov 8, 1883 in Elgin, Illniois.
George is a carpenter in 1880 Massachusetts, born in Maine, 39, living with his brother Elijah. George says he's married, but no spouse. His son George W. 8 and Clarence B. 6, were bornin Massachusetts.
Clarence Bellenap Emery was born May 23, 1874 in Warren Massachusetts to Geo F. Emery and Sarah Bellnch.
Joseph Boone and Anna Hodgson were married in Illinois in 1853, and had Sarah in 1859 in Manchester, Illinois.
One poster wrote "Anna married Joseph Boone 23 Apr 1853 in USA. I have not found the year she immigrated to America. In 1860 Anna lived in Roscoe, Winnebago, Illinois. In 1870 her last name is now Parkin on the U. S. Census. Living with her are Benjamin Parkin (17); Lydia Boone (15); Ida Angelina Boone (13); Sarah Boone (11); and John Boone (7). She died 6 Jan 1900 and is buried as Anna Parkin in the Wood River, Nebraska, Cemetery. There is the inscription: Born in England, on her tombstone. She and Joseph Boone had four children: Lydia, Ida Angelina, Sarah, and John. They did live in the Wood River area for a period of time. "

In 1900 Arriba, Lincoln County, Colorado, George, born Nov 1842 in Maine, married 16 years to Sarah J. Sept 1859, Illinois, with eldora A. SAept 1884 Nebraska and William H. Dec 1889 Colorado.
1902 "George Emery assisted E.S. Emerson roof his new sod house the forepart of last week."
1902 "E.S. Emerson and son, Will, assisted George Emery plow sod for an addition to his house last Monday."
Will Emerson cut corn for Geore Emery several days last week."
Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Emerson were Flagler visitors one day last week."
George 1841-1924 # 65652553 and Sarah Jane 1859-1940 are buried in Arriba, 1904 Arriba "Miss Dollie Nixon is visiting with Miss Dora Emery at present. They are most successfully learning the art of photography. Just call on them for first-class pictures."

The Rev Paul Gamber and the Rev James Snoke will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Mr Emerson, 2526 Gunnison st., died in a local-nursing home Monday. He was 91. He worked as a farmer, carpenter and cement worker, retiring at the age of 89. He was born March 16, 1883 in Shelbina, Mo., and had lived here since 1945. He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Viola Sanders, Broderick, Calif, two sons, Arthur M Emerson of Colorado Springs and Lawrence L Emerson of Pryor, Okla; a step-daughter Mrs Mae Stevens, Fort Collins, a step-son, Ray P Johnson, Burlington; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren."

William Emery born Dec 6, 1889 at Arriba, married Luella Emerson in 1912, and is buried in Arriba. 1889-1971 # 65652613. Luela, daughter of Edwin and Lucy F. Emerson, is with him.
