"Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Price funeral home for Lee Buford Peter, 74 years of age, who died at 2:55 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, four miles East of Skidmore. Dr. W. H. Hackman, Pastor of the First Methodist church of Maryville, will officiate.
He was born March 21, 1867, at Maxwell, Kentucky, and had resided at the present residence near Skidmore for the past six years and had resided in the community about seventy years.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Peter. He was married July 19, 1902, in St. Joseph. For a number of years he was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Maryville. Mr. Peter was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. B. W. Callaway, Salina, Kansas; Mrs. John M. Limpp, Calgary, Canada; and Mrs. M. J. Rice, Independence, Mo.; two sons; Theodore F. Peter, Waterloo, Iowa; and Buford C. Peter, Skidmore; two brothers; Claude and Ell Peter, Skidmore, and five grandchildren."

Echo Ellen Peter 1880-1972 is buried in San Bernardino County # 96063065.
Margaret Lee (Peter) Rice 1917-2005 is buried in the same plot in San Bernardingo County # 96065032.
