"This District was known as School District No. 1 of Bethune. Mrs. Alta Yersin was one of the early day teachers here. Mrs. Grace Griswold was another.
Mr. Sheafer, Mrs. Yersin's father, operated one of the first grocery stores in the new town. Later he became Judge in Kit Carson County.

with Ray 1883-1955.
(Thomas M. Briner had proved up a quarter in section 14, 9S 46W in 1895, but there's no evidence of a relationship.)
JAMES

a blacksmith helper, and Elizabeth Heppner in Langdon, North Dakota, who had James Orville Shaefer on April 11, 1922 in Helena.
