Harry McCoy, 8 South 45 West
In 1912, Harry McCoy of Bethune,
Aaron B. Yarnell, Mary Reim, and Fred S. Flexer of Burlington were witnesses for the claim of Louella Flexer for land in 1, 8S 45W.
Harry claimed a quarter in section 17, 8S 45W, Kit Carson County, in 1914.

working for David Amis 31 and his mother Rachel Amis 65, both born in Kentucky.

Harry Arthur McCoy was born June 18, 1888 at Trumbull, Nebraska.
In 1900 Clay County, Nebraska, Harry A. is 11, with William 38 adn Anna 34, married 13 years, both born in Illinois.
Carmen is 9, Tensl 6, Harley 3, and Eva eight months, all five born in Nebraska.
Harry is with his parents in 1910 Clay County, too, 21, wtih Carmen 19, Edith P 16, William H. 13, and Eva M. 10.
In 1920 Dundy County, Nebraska, Ida B. McCarty is 26, a phone operator,
with Frances 4 and Linniebell 2, living with widowed mother Frances 69 and divorced brother R.M. Stoutsenberger 46.
In 1930 Max, Dundy County, Nebraska, Harry McCoy is a mail carrier, 41, Ida 26, both born in Nebraska, Frances McCarty 15 in Wyoming,Linnabelle McCarty is 13, Vern McCoy 8, and Ida Mae 4, all born in Nebraska.
Harry McCoy is in Max, Dundy County, Nebraska, in 1940, a mail carrier, 51 with Ida 46 and Ida May 14, all three born in Nebraska.
William Vern McCoy was born 1921 in Stratton Nebraska, dying November 22, 1990 in San Diego.
The California death index has his mother as Stotsenberger.
"William V. McCoy. 68, of Encinitas, California, died November 22, 1990, at his home. He was born in Stratton, Nebraska. and lived in Kansas City, Missouri, from 1950 to 1952.
He lived in Washington. D.C... and San Marino, California. before moving to Rancho Santa Fe, California in 1986. He moved to Encinitas in June 1969.
Mr. McCoy worked for the Marley Cooling Tower Co. for 35 years. retiring as western marketing vice president in 1986. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1948 and taught in the Mechanical Engineering School there from 1947 to 1949.
He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Tau and Pi Thu Sigma. He was tomer president of the American Society of Heating. Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers and was a member of the Pacific Coast Electrical Association and the Rocky Mountain Electrical League. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. McCoy was the son of the late Ida and Harry McCoy of Max, Nebraska, and nephew of the late Harley McCoy of Arapahoe and Eva Canton, formerly of Benkelman, Nebraska.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Deaver McCoy of the home; a son. John McCoy of Seattle. Washington; four daughters. Sarah McCoy of Encinitas, Mary Fenoglio of Garden Grove, California,Nancy Burns of Metuchen, New Jersey. and Susan McCoy of Laguna Niguel, California; two sisters, Lennie Boedecker of Seattle and Frances Andrews of Ocean Shores, Washington. and three grandchildren.
Services were held at the Popkess Chapel in Sabetha, Kansas, with burial in the
Sabetha Cemetery."
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 14, for Linnie Bell (McCarty) Boedecker of Federal Way, Washington, who died Saturday, December 11, 1993.
Mrs. Boedecker, born April 6, 1917, in Max, Nebraska, was the stepdaughter of Harry McCoy of Max. She graduated from Max High School in 1935.
She is survived by a sister, Francis Andrews of Ocean Shores, Washington, who is a sister-in-law of Robert and Nina Andrews of Benkelman, Nebraska.
