November 21, 1946 Belleville, Kansas "Margaret Jane Harris, eldest daughter
of William and Betsy Harris, was born near Salem, Neb., February 18, 1867, and departed
this life near ??? Colo., November 11, 1946, at the age of 78 years.
With her parents she moved to ... when two years old.
Mr. Armour preceded her in death on November 20, 1940.
Mrs. Armour has left a priceless legacy to her children in the memories of her motherly
love, through her loving kindness, ceaseless devotion, and self-sacrifice for
her family. Throughout her entire life, she has endeared herself to the
hearts of old and young alike by her friendly interest, her kindly ways,
her hoiieful poetry, and her fine Christian character. She was a member of the Mahaska
Methodist church and will always be remembered for her faithful stewardship.
....ty-fivc grandchildren; one great- grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Evfe Kidd,
Grandview, Mo., and Mrs. Dollie Sesna of White Cloud;
two brothers, W. L. Harris, Tallahassee. Fla., and John D. Harris of Kansas City., Mo.,
besides a large number of other relatives and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services were held uiday riftcrnoon, November from the Methodist church
the Rev. John I?rint officiating. Interment in the Mahaska cemetery."
