In 1880 Knox County, Indiana, Sander R. Clark is 20,
Charles L. 19, Stephen J. 17, Minnie F. 11, Nora M. 4. John A. Clark is 47, Mary 44, all born in Indiana.
Because Charles L. and Sanders R. Clark both claimed land in the same township, they are very possible the Knox County, Indiana ones.
If anyone knows if Charles is in the 1900 census, we would appreciate some information on them.
Charles and his heirs claimed a quarter in section 27, 8S 45W, Kit Carson County, in 1891.
This was assigned by the claim of John McMullin, private in Company L, 2nd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers, Mexican War.
John McMullin, 19, enlisted as a private on May 6, 1847 in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
In 1850 Bedford, Pennsylvania, John is 23, a shoemaker, Catharine 19.
Charles L. Clark, son of John A. Clark and Mary Light, born at Oak Town, Knox County, Indiana,
married Luella Harritt on March 2, 1886 in Lanesville,
Indiana. She was born in Lanesville, Harrison County, Indiana to Elisha Harritt and Nancy Riely.
They had Orville R. Clark on June 2, 1893 in Knox County.
In 1910 Knox County, Indiana, Charles is a farm laborer, 49, with Lovilla 48, Carrie A. 23 and Orval R. 17, all born in Indiana.
In 1920 Knox County, Charlie is 58, Lulla 57,
with Dorothy 5 (This must be the daughter of their daughter
Carrie Ethel.)
In 1930 Knox County, Charlie L. Clark is 69, Louella 67, with Dorothy C. Patterson 15.
Charles L. Clark, born March 25, 1861, died April 12, 1936 in Knox County.
Louella Tody Harritt was born Aug 17, 1862 in Lanesville,
Indiana, to Elijah Harritt of Lanesville.
She died in Hoopeston, Illinois July 7, 1936 to be buried in Oaktown, Indiana.
Orville Ross Clark is buried in Oaktown, 1893-1961 # 74255123.
Ethel Patterson 1886-1914 is buried in Oaktown # 74257631 - spouse Joseph Arnold Patterson 1890-1929.
