"ROSALIE A. Scott, the fourth child of Phineas Scott, was born November 1, 1838, in Burke, Vt. She was married in Champaign, I11., March 26, 1872, to Samuel C. Seward, who was born February 19, 1828, in Hull, Yorkshire, England. In 1881 they lived in Urbana, Ill. Their children were:

SCOTT A. Seward, born January 27, 1873, in Somers, Ill., died in Staunton, 111., August 3, 1875.
EMMA A. Seward, born February 3, 1875, in Somers, I11.
FRED C. Seward, born December 1, 1876, in Staunton, Illinois. "

In 1880 Champaign County, "Albert" Seward is a laborer, living with Wm. 26 and Matilda 22 Powell
James claimed a quarter in section 15, 8S 43W in 1890.

James A. Seward, 32, and Ola M. Carlyle, 28, both of Illinois, married in Red Cloud, Webster County, Nebraska on March 1, 1892.

There's a James A. Seward in Clay Center, Kansas in 1900, born July 1859, married eight years to Olivia Feb 1862, both born in Illinois.

James and Olivia are farming in 1910 Dundy County, Nebraska, no kids.
James 1859-1919 is buried in Benkelman, Dundy County # 88182215.
