May 7, 1932 Greeley "Christopher Irving Miller, Union Pacific engineer,
who was critically wounded by his pretty stepdaughter at their home in Denver Wednesday
evening is well known to all Greeley railroaders. He was engineer on trains No. 21 and
No. 22, the Pacific Coast Limlted. His fireman, Edward J. Fitzgerald, and Miller
have been lifelong friends. Fitzgerald was on No. 21 Friday.
Mrs. Fitzgerald on Thursday furnished the blood for the transfusions in the
effort to save Miller's life. Outcome of Miller's wound is still in doubt."
