Marshall, a Topeka, Kan.. mercaant. clasped in his arms his daughter, the wife of Rev. M. M. Eaton, a methodist minister, of this city. While on their way from Pennsylvania to Colorado, December 10, 1879, a baby was born to Mrs. Marshall at Fort Kearney. The child was too young to travel, and was left with the family of Thomas Lorimer when the Marshalls proceeded on their journey two weeks later. After being adopted by the Lorimers, Miss Marshall discovered that they were not her own parents. She then began a search which has extended over the entire country. Mr. Marshall did likewise. The girl, who in the meantime had become the wife of Rev. Eaton, wrote letters to thousands of postmasters in the search for J. H. Marshall, whom she learned was her father. A few days ago she located him in Topeka, and he lost no time in coming to Goldfield, where the happy reunion, occurred."
