William H. Hurley married Joana L. Wolf in Fulton County, Illinois on October 1, 1856.

In 1870 Fulton County, William is farming, 36, with Joanna 32, Matilda 14, Mary 12, Nettie 10, and Helen 8, all born in Illinois.

Joanna Wolf had been in Fulton County in 1850, age 14, with Thomas 47 and Joanna 37. Elizabeth is 20, Sarah 18, Jacob 11, Jeremiah 9, Amanda 3, and Jasper newborn.

In 1860 Fulton County, Thomas Wolf is 56, Johanna 47, Jacob 20, Jeremiah 18, Amanda 12, "Josper" 10, William 8, and Emley 6. Jacob Wolf is 26.

Thomas 1803-1863 is buried in Fulton County # 24670953, with Johanna (Coleman) Wolf 1812-1881 # 24671000.

Jasper Newton Wolf 1850-1923 is buried in Barton County, Missouri # 118917202.

In 1870 Fulton County, Illinois, William "Harley" is farming, 36, with Joana 32, Matilda 14, Mary 12, Nettie 10, and Helen 8.

In 1880 McDonough County, Illinois, William Hurley is 45, Joanna 44, Mary Hurley is 22, Ellen 20, Helen 18.

Per the article in the McDonough County history, William was living in Bird City, Kansas after 1890.





William claimed a quarter in section 11, 8S 43W in 1891.
Also in 1891, he claimed a quarter in section 7, 8S 42W.

Hellen L. Hurley claimed a quarter in section 3 in 1890, and another in section 11, in 1891.

William might have gone to Lincoln, Nebraska because his daughter Alice M. (perhaps Matilda) is buried there 1856-1932 # 66661650.
Alice had married Samuel O. Wishard in Fulton County about 1875, and they're in Atchison County, Missouri in 1880, Samuel 26 adn Alice 23.

WILLIAM'S SECOND WIFE

Ida, Iowa " Married on Sunday, December 7, 1870 by Rev. C.B. Winter, at the residence of the brides sister, Mrs. J.W. Ward in Silver Creek twp, Mr. Charles E. Woodworth and Miss Florence Gilling, all of Ida County. Charley is now fixed as almost any young man would want to be. A splendid farm, well stocked and with first class improvements upon it, a good character and plenty of cash, an amiable and worthy helpmeet, make up a pretty good invoice to start out upon the active duties of life with, and all these can Charley call his own, and we know of no one among our acquaintances who is, on the score of merit, nor justly entitled to them, than this newly made benedict. "

In 1900 Lincoln, Nebraska, William Hurley is a carpenter, born December 1834 in "New York" married eight years to Florence Dec 1858 in Iowa, have Wiakeman WOodworth March 1881 in Iowa.

1899 St. Francis, Kansas " Mrs. Hurley, of Lincoln, Neb., is at Mrs. A. 6. Ward's, called here by the sickness and death of her mother, Mrs. Gilling."
Eleanor (Moody) Gilling 1824-1899 is buried in Bird City # 130452779.

1903 "Notice is hereby given that Mrs. Florence Hurley, one of the heirs of Eleanor Gilling, deceased, has filed notice of intention to make final proof. "

In 1905 Bird City, Kansas, William Hurley is 69, Florence 46, W.W. WOodworth 23, Harry Osberler 15, and W.E. Byers 26.

In 1910 Bird City, Kansas, William H. Hurley is 74, born in Indiana, married 18 years to Florence G. Hurley 51 born in Iowa. This is the scond marriage for both. Her son Wakeman Woodworth 29 born in Iowa is with them.

In 1920 Florence Hurley, of Whittier California, attended a Kanss reunion at Long Beach Park, in Log Beach, California.

1923 Atwood, Kansas "Mrs. Hurley of Bird City; visited with her daughter, Mrs. Woodworth und children. Tuesday and Wednesday"

1924 Atwood "Mrs. Florence Hurley came over from Bird City, Friday, to help her granddaughter, Winona Woodworth celebrate her 10th birthday, Saturday."

Florence is widowed in 1930 Cheyenne County, 76, with three lodgers.

Florence is buried in Bird City 1858-1948 # 123033699.
"Wife of Charles E Woodworth and William Hurley.
Daughter of James Gilling and Eleanor Moody. "

William Wakeman Woodworth registered for WWI in Glendo, Platte County, Wyoming, a lumberman, born March 17, 18881, wife Mildred.

They had Arline Edith Woodworth on February 14, 1920 in Glendo, who died as Oliver October 12, 1998.

William Wakeman Woodworth 1881-1921 is buried in Bird City # 125054755, with Mildred (Bpumtpm) Woodworth.1887-1964.
"Son of Charles E Woodworth and Florence G. Gilling."

Arline Woodworth Oliver is buried in Fort Logan cemetery, Denver.

Winona Woodworth Folks, born March 15, 1914, died October 11, 2009, last residence Sun City Arizona.
Paul B. Folks 1906-1968 is buried in Atwood, Kansas # 106692255.
