In 1910 August is farming in Labette County, Kansas, 51, born in Polish Germany, married five years to Rosas 37 born in Polish Russia. Leo 15, Colara 12, and Arthur 12 were born in Nebraska, Bertha 10 and Martha 8 in Colorado.

July 1915 "Joseph Wieigorecki, brother of Mrs. Deragowski; Aloyslus Deragowski, wife and little son and Clare Deragowski, all of Parsons, visited at the Deragowski home Sunday."

"Mother" Deragowski 1872-1918 is buried in Parsons, Kansas # 23286406.

Joseph Deragowski registered for WWI in Parsons, Kansas, born Nov 22, 1888 in Chicago, farming, but working for the CB &Q Raliroad in Beardstown Illinois, as a brakeman, single.

AUGUST

In 1930 Labette County, "Angus" is 39, born in Nebraska. Annette 32, Eugene 10, Robert 8, Ruth 7, and Mary 5 were born in Wisconsin, Evaline 4 and Margaret 2 were born in Arkansas, and David newborn in Knnsas.

August, born August 3, 1890, died June 25, 1965, service in WWI, buried in Springfield National, Missouri. So is Annette (Lui) Deragowski 1897-1974 # 575872.


Evelyn Martha Deragowski, born Sept 15, 1925 in Prairie Grove Arkansas to August F. Deragowski and Annette H. Lui, died as Harris on January 16, 20002.
Evelyn is buried in Springfield, Missouri 1925-2002 # 14058951, with Everett Eugene Harris 1925-2008.
"Evelyn Deragowski Harris, 76, Springfield, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002, in St. John's Regional Health Center. She was born September 15, 1925 in Prairie Grove, Ark., the daughter of August and Annette lui Deragowski. Evelyn enjoyed working outside with her lawn and flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She always enjoyed baking and was famous for her much enjoyed Christmas goodies. She was a member of St. Agnes Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers. Rev. Gene Deragowski and David Deragowski; and two sister, Mary Gannaway and Peggy Tuck. She is survived by her husband, Everett "Gene" Harris; a son, Michael Eugene Harris, Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Patricia and her husband, Joseph Noyes, West Des Moines, Iowa; 4 brothers, Bob, Colorado, Bernie, Anthony, Texas, and Paul and John Deragowski, both of Springfield; a sister, Ruth Harris Alexander, Lamar. Also surviving are five grandchildren; and 3 greatgrandchildren. A funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Agnes Cathedral, with Msgr. John Westhues, Celebrant, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow In Missouri Veterans Cemetery."


Reverend Eugene Deragowski 1920-1981 is buried in Springfield, Missouri # 43537322.
"Funeral Mass for Monsignor Eugene Deragowski. 61, Springfield, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Cathedral with Bishop Bernard F. Law officiating. Vesper services will be at 7.30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The body will be at the funeral home until 6 p.m. Tuesday. He died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday in Mercy Villa after a one-year illness. A native of Racine, Wis., Monsignor Deragowski was a Catholic priest, having last served at St. John Vianney parish in Mountain View.
Survivors include five brothers. Bob, Scott City, Kan., David and John, both of Springfield. Bernard, Anthony, Texas, and Paul, Memphis. Tenn.; four sisters. Mrs. Ruth Harris, Lamar, Mrs. Mary Gannaway, Oronogo, Mrs. Evelyn Harris, Memphis, Tenn.. and Mrs. Peggy Tuck."

October 14, 1992 Joplin, Missouri, "Everett and Mary Gannaway celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Wednesday, Oct. 14, with their family. The couple wee married Oct 14, 1942 by the Rev. C.E. Wynes, Stockton. In 1956 the couple moved to Paramount, Calif. They returned to Missouri in1 964 and now live in Oronogo. Gannaway worked for Sperry Vickers, Joplin. He is a retired machinist. Mrs. Gannaway is a homemaker.
Hosts for the celebration were the couple's five children and their spouses: Jimand Joan Title, Blue Springs; Johna nd Judy Hartley, Marshfield; Jim and Judy Gannaway, Oronogo; Gary and Janice Fay, Tulsa, Okla.; and Wess and Jennifer Waggoner, Joplin. They have eight grandchildren."

Mary M. Gannaway - May 15, 1924 - August 24, 1993 is buried in Cedar County, Missouri # 182137552, with Everett 1923-1997 # 182107720.

Bernard T. Deragowski 1932-2003 is buried at Fort Bliss National # 141481646.

Paul Francis Deragoski 1935-2005 is buried in Springfield, Missouri # 10298951, wtih Martha 1932-1995.


Robert Richard "Bob" Deragowski, 88, of Cortez, Colo., died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Valley Inn Nursing Home in Mancos, Colo. He was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Prairie View, Ark., one of 10 children of August and Annette Deragowski. After the death of his first wife, Ernestine, in 1995, Mr. Deragowski moved to the Cortez area where he met Bertha Valdez, whom he remained with for nearly seven years until her death in 2006. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and was known as a generous and caring human being. He enjoyed caring for the yards of people around him and at Christmas time he loved playing Santa Claus. Survivors include seven stepchildren, Romelia Ruiz of Mancos, Sonny Archuleta, Darlene Alexander and Gilbert Archuleta, all of Cortez, Maxine Lemos of Montrose, Colo., Arlene Rabi of Idaho, and Randy Archuleta of Utah; several grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Alexander of Springfield, Mo.; and a brother, John Deragowski of Springfield. In addition to his wife and his companion, he also was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Gannaway, Evelyn Harris and Peggy Tuck; and four brothers, the Rev. Gene, David, Bernie and Paul Deragowski. Funeral Mass was at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Burial was at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.

David 1929-1999 is buried in GREENWOOD CEMETERY, Springfield, Missouri # 9699695, with Gladys on the stone.
FindaGrave # 38811169 says Gladys died 2005 and is in HAZELWOOD CEMETERY....

Barbara and Dave Deragowski of Springfield was listed as a daughter of Gertrude Lena House of Bolivar, Missouri in 2000.

WILLIAM A. BUTCHER, 88, of Colorado Springs died Monday, October 10, 1988 in Colorado Springs after a long illness. He worked for the El Paso County Highway Department before retiring in 1969. Services will be at I p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn O. McPherson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Butcher was born Dec. 2, 1899, in Mountain Grove, Mo., to James P. and Adeline (Phillips) Butcher. He had lived in Colorado Springs since 1946 and was a former resident of Missouri and Tennessee. Mr. Butcher was a Methodist. He was married Feb. 14, 1920, in Mountain Grove, to Haley Marie Sluder, who died in 1984. Mr. Butcher is survived by two sons, Albert Jr. of Los Altos, Calif., and Wayne of Garland, Texas; two daughters, Lavella Ely of Desoto, Texas and Fern Brenton of Colorado Springs; three brothers, Walter, Everett and Ervin, all of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Gladys Deragowski of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

John Lee Deragowski, born April 29, 1894 in Omaha, Nebraska to August Deragowski and Rose Weilgores, is buried in Parsons, Kansas dying Oct 24, 1945 # 23281631, "Pvt 316 Engineers 91st Division."

MARY CLARA

Mary was born in Omaha August 20, 1895.

In 1940 Parsons, Kansas, Clara is 44, nephew Eugene J. is 20, niece Mary L. is 16.

PETER

Peter registered for WWII in Los ANgeles, single, a plumber.
Peter Arthur Deragowski, 53, son of August Deragowski and Rose Wielgorcki, married Mildred Veronica Henry, 40, in Los Angeles on October 13, 1951.

Peter Arthur Deragowski, born Nov 29, 1898 in Nebraska, died in Los Angeles County Dec 13, 1985.

BERTHA

Sister Jeremia, Bertha Deragosski, 1899-19977 is bured in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northbrook, Illinois, convent 57 years. # 113188340.


Gerald L. “Jerry” Tuck Gerald Lee “Jerry” Tuck, age 62, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at his home with family at his side.
Gerald was born April 18, 1949, in Springfield, Mo., son of the late Willard Tuck and Margaret Deragowski Tuck.
He graduated from Republic High School before joining the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War.
After his service to our country, he worked as an Air Traffic Controller from 1975 through 1981. In October of 1981, he began his 37 year career in law enforcement serving the Joplin Police Department, the Duenweg Police Department, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department.
Gerald was an active member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church where he served on the church vestry and sang in the choir. He was a former member of the Joplin Kiwanis Club. He loved following NASCAR, supporting the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals and most importantly following his children and grandchildren’s Webb City School activities.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Bober Tuck; daughters, LeAnn Wilson and husband, Mike, of Oronogo, Mo., Cheri Badgley and husband, Tony, of Webb City, Mo., Kathy Doss and husband, Don, of Webb City, Alysia Patrick and husband, Steve, of Wichita, Kan. and Carrie Steele of St. Charles, Mo.; brothers, Larry Tuck and wife, Janey, of Springfield, Gary Tuck and wife, Delisa, of Edwardsville, Ill.; sister, Becky Whetstine and husband, Billy, of Canton, Texas; brothers, Gary Grady of Hicksville, N.Y., Greg Grady and wife, Gayle, of Clearwater, Fla., Gill Grady and wife Becky of Woodbine, Md. and Geoff Grady and wife, Karla, of Maywood, N.J.; nine grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with Father Frank Sierra officiating followed by interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
