Dr. Haughey, in Aurora. The father was a brick manufacturer and for a long period conducted a brick yard at Moulton, Iowa. During the latter part of the Civil war he served with the Union army. Haughey were members of the Christian church and he was affiliated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, while his political belief was that of the republican party. Dr. Haughey was the youngest of the family of six children, five of whom are living. His education was pursued in the schools of Moulton, Iowa, and he was graduated from the high school with the class of 1885.
