" John S. Lewis died this morning, aged 87, from inflammation of the brain, resulting from a fall. He was a veteran of the war and a pioneer of Clay county (sic), one of its precincts being named after him.

at ome time a photographer in Glenwood Bprings,
who died a week ago last Sunday at his home in Boise,
Idaho. Besides his wife, to whom he was married in
this city, Mr. Waters is survived by one son and
two daughters, who live in Denver. "
July 3, 1915 " F. E. Waters, a photographer who
operated in Glenwood for a number of years, died some
time ago at Boise, Idaho. He had lived at Price,
Utah since leaving here until a short time before
his, died. "

for Ferne Gracey, 88, of Iraan are scheduled for 10
a.m. Friday in Restland Cemetery with the Rev.
Kevin Phillips officiating.
Mrs. Gracey died Tuesday at Midland Memorial
Hospital. She was born March 31, 1904, in Denver.
She married W. T. "Buck" Gracey May 26, 1927,
in Caddo. Mrs. Gracey was a school teacher and
editor for the Iraan News. She was a member of
West Texas Printers Association, charter member of
American Cancer Society and of First United Methodist
Church. She had won a Southwest Printers Association
award in 1961 for her newspaper column
"That Durn Ferne." She had resided in Iraan since
1953.
Survivors include her husband; two sons,
Donald T. Gracey of Hobbs, N.M., and
Hugh W. Gracey of Enterprise,
a sister, Dorothy Reimund of Breckenridge;
a brother, Emerald Kinney of Scotts Mills,
four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.."
