May 1915 " A very pretty wedding was solemnized in Chama Monday morning at 9 o'clock,
when Miss Viola Mayer, an interesting and popular young lady of that town,
became the bride of Harry Hurley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hurley of Durango.
The marriage ceremony occurred in the Catholic church and was celebrated with nuptial mass.
Mr. Hurley is a D, & R. G. fireman, who has hosts of friends among the railroad boys,
in fact in all walks of life. Those who share the acquaintance of the girl who became his bride
are enthusiastic in her praise. Mr. and Mrs. Hurley will make Chama their home. In fact,
their honeymoon was spent at that point, but their friends who planned to have a great deal of fun
at their expense were not able to locate them. Among the Durango folk in attendance
at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hurley, parents of the groom."
