March 31, 1940 Sioux City, Iowa " Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Lena J. Thomsen of Holstein will be held at 2- o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church here with Rev. L. J. Runions officiatinc. Burial will be in the Holstein cemetery. Mrs. Thomsen died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. August Goettsch, Thursday night following a lingering illness. She was 74 years old and was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Nels Peterson of Crawford, Mrs. Emma Lamborn of Farmington, Mrs. Mary Nagel of Mason City, Mrs. Lizzie O'Brien of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Goettsch, and five sons, George, John and Henry of Des Moines, Will H. of Walker, and Fred of Holstein.
The Johnson funeral home will be in charge of burial."

Funeral services for William Lamborn, 78, who died Tuesday evening in his home here, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church with the Rev. Warren Green officiating.
Plans for the services are tentative, depending on arrival of a son, Pvt. Arlet Lamborn, from his station in Alaska.
Surviving are his widow; four sons, Adlet and Wilbert, in the army. Kenneth in the navy, and Samuel in Farmington, and one grendson."

Fort Morgan "April 11, 1923 Lute Lamborn, pioneer rancher and brother of Hughes Lamborn, superintendent of the Park Avenue hospital, Denver, and of Alfred Lamborn, formerly manager of the Stanley hotel in Estes park, died at his home here at 1 o'clock this morning, following an operation performed in Denver three weeks ago, in hopes of remedying complications from which he was suffering. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Lamborn, one of the leading citizens of this city, was born on a farm thirty miles from Philadelphia, Pa., June 15, 1860, the son of an old English family. Mr. Lamborn had lived in Celorado forty-three years, and in this county thirty-five years. For twenty-five years he lived in Weldon Valley, wwhere he became owner of three ranches. In the last ten years he had made his home in Fort Morgan. He was a member of EIl Jebel Shrine, Denver, the Masonic Commandery here, the Elks lodge and of the building committee for the Elks home here, He is survived by his two brothers, five children and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held here Triday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Elks and the Masons."
