November 17, 1904 Greeley "John N. Hunter died in his home at Grand Valley, Gartield county, November 10, after an illness of three years, diabetes being the cause of, died. Deceased was 68 years old, and during the civil war was a member of the 13th Iowa Infantry. He was a member in good standing of the G. A. R. His son, John W. Hunter of this city, attended the funeral, which took place in Grand Valley Saturday, anr was largely attenfed by the citizens of that town and countryside."
