Darwin W. and Ethel Hines, 8 South 42 West
"John Wilber Harrington was born Dec. 29, 1831 in the state of New York,
and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs E. L. Hines, Feb. 15th,
being past 80 years of age. He was married to Lois Simmons in 1854, and to them were born five children,
Everet, Dillian, Mrs. Florence Hines, Elmer and Mrs. Rosa Hines. His wife passed away in 1897,
and Miss Dillian at the age of 17 years. All the surviving children and a number of grand children
and a large host of friends were present at the funeral services held in the M. E. Church in Kanorado.
Rev. A. L. Day conducting the services, assisted by the Rev. E. L. Hutchins.
Mr. harrington was an honored citizen and a veteran of the Civil War."

She was united in marriage to John N. Hines
on February 17, 1876, and to this union were born seven children,
two sons, Darwin and Faun of Kanorado, and five daughters:
Mrs. Estella Smith, Sumber, Mrs. Lena Borton, Pueblo Mrs.
Birdie Eibert, Mrs. Ona German and Mrs. Persis Mangus of Kanarado. All
of their children were present at her bedside during her last illness,
and all attended the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.

for Lonzo Thomas Farnsworth, 75, formerly of the Unadllla comjnunity. Mr. Farnsworth,
who moved from Unadllla to Burlington in 1917, and retired in 1927, died at a nursing home in Pueblo,
July 21, according to word received hi Syracuse Monday, was born August 3, 1872, at Unadllla, the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Farnsworth. He married Eleanor Harrison, who Survives.
Other survivors are six children, Marshall, Oscar, Mrs. Eda Cole, of...,
Lola Mitchell, Cardiff, Mrs. Evelyn Hendricks, Vona, Mrs. Aldean Pischke, and 13 grandchildren,

"Doris Suhr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Suhr, and Darrell E. Farnsworth of Big Springs,
son of Mrs. Fern Byer and Marshall Farnsworth of Burlington. exchanged vows in a candlelight ceremony
at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Saturday evening, November 24th. at 7:80. Candles burning in the windows
and altar;
candelabra, along with baskets of pompons, set the scene for the ceremony.
Reverend Ernest C. Mortensen of Sutherland performed the double ring. Miss Lana Anderson was organist,
and accompanied George Hartman, the soioiat, sang. Lighting the candles were Mias Bonnie Suhr,
sister of the bride, and cousins, Misses Kathleen Sass and Judy Cullies of Ogallala,
The bride was given in marriage by her father; Mrs. Verlyn Stahl was her matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Marlene Suhr, a sister of the bride, and Miss Frances Shay. A reception
followed in the church parlors. Mrs. William Saas and Mrs. Fred San cut the cake,
Mrs. Elmer Biel served punch, and Mrs. Harry Suhr poured coffee; The tour ladies are aunts of the bride,
Misses Linda and Linda and Icons Steinke, cousina of the bride, assisted with the serving.
Mias Karen Monton presided at the Gift table, attendants Sharon Price of Hastings
and Misses Dora Morrell and Judy Krajewski of Ogallala.
For a wedding trip to Colorado, the bride wore a blue wool suit with black accessories. The couple's
home is Big Springs, where Mr. Farnsworth la employed as an Admistrator in the schools,
Mrs. Farnsworth attended the State Teachers College at Kearney following her graduation from the Paxton Consolidated Schools, and is now employed at the Keith County Bank in Ogallala.

"Darrell Farnsworth age 87 of North Platte, formerly of Big Springs died December 8, 2020 at Centennial Park Care Center in North Platte, he had been living in the Sutherland since 2015, and recently transferred to North Platte. Darrell was born February 22,1933 in Burlington, CO. to Marshall and Fern (Hines) Farnsworth. He was baptized and confirmed into the Methodist Church in Burlington as a young boy.
Darrell married Shirley (Andrews) in 1952. To this union two children were born, Debra Fern and Mark Gregory. In 1962 he married Doris (Suhr) at the Lutheran Church in Paxton, NE. They were blessed with three children, Thomas Darrell, Jana Marie and Bobbi Ann.
He attended Burlington Grade School and High School where he was a star football player and track star, graduating with the class of 1951. Following graduation he attended Otaro Jr. College in LaJunta, Co and continued his education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO where he received his Masters Degree. After college he took a teaching position in Big Springs NE where he remained for 49 years, retiring in 1994. While in the Big Springs School system, he accepted many responsibilities including K-12 Principal, Jr. High math teacher, Elementary PE teacher and a coach for all Jr. High sports with several undefeated seasons in football and volleyball. He was an avid Colorado Buffalo and Denver Bronco football fan, attending all their games if possible.
Darrell was a member of the United Methodist Church in Big Springs. He helped serve his community through active participation in numerous organizations and events. He was a member of the Big Springs Fire Department for many years. He helped organize the Optimist Club and was a member until it disband. He served on the Big Springs City Council for 17 years. He also was the Homecoming Parade Chairman for many years. In 1994 he was chosen as the Deuel County Fair King. Outside of school and community he was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapshooter.
Darrell is survived by his wife Doris of 58 years. Five children Debra (John) Olesen, Limon CO; Mark (Sheryl) Farnsworth, Johnson Lake NE; Thomas (Christine) Farnsworth, Venango NE; Jana (Nathan) Piper, Kearney NE; and Bobbie Farnsworth of Omaha NE. Grandchildren Jason (Jessica) Farnsworth, Jared (Lindsey) Farnsworth, Jill (Michael) Ellison, John Olesen, Sean Farnsworth, Alex Farnsworth, Ian Piper and Brendon Piper, Step-granddaughter Cassie Goldenstien and six great grandchildren. Sisters-in-law Marlene (Leo) Griffiths and Bonnie (Bill) Wendland all of Paxton NE, Deborah (Lynn) McCaig, Lincoln NE. Also several special nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in, died by his parents, Marshall Farnsworth, Fern (Hines) Farnsworth / Byer, step father Byer, a brother at, born, and a son Alan at, born . His father-in-law Walter Suhr, mother-in-law Marie Suhr, two brothers-in-law Donald Suhr and Marvin Suhr, sister-in-law Donna (Suhr) Stahl and her husband Verlyn Stahl, nephews Michael Stahl and Steven Stahl.
Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Ogallala, Friday December 11, 2020 at 10:00AM. with Rev Chuck Rager officiating.
Internment will be in the Paxton Cemetery, Paxton NE. Draucker Funeral Home is
in charge of the arrangements."

"Gerald "Dean" Hines, a longtime Elko resident, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 77. Dean was born to Waunita and Wilber "Bill" Hines. He married Irene Messerly on July 19, 1951. Dean was employed with NYTC for 27 years, retiring in 1986. Dean had many interests: fishing, hunting, reading westerns, watching movies, and spending time with his loyal canine companion, "Chub." He was preceded in, died by his parents: Wilber Hines, Waunita Hines Yarnell and his stepfather, George Yarnell.
Survivors are his loving wife of 56 years, Irene, daughter LeAnne Hines of Lafayette, Colo., son David Hines of Elko and granddaughter Licia Hines of Edmons, Wash. Brothers: Bill Hines of Ft. Lupton, Colo., Mickey (Gerry) Hines of Huson, Mont., Leland (Laurel) Hines of Greeley, Colo., Norman (Carolyn) Hines of Elko, Donald (Ramona) Yarnell of Greeley, Colo., Larry (Ellen) Yarnell of Morrison Colo., Dale (Glenda) Yarnell of Ramah, Colo., sister in law, Sharon Mize, Elko, and many nieces and nephews."
